I am not great at always living by faith; however, these Catholics, especially their leaders, should pick up the good word and read what they believe:
James 1:19-20 -- Clearest Bible verse that instructs us to cool our anger first, then act.
Proverbs 14:29 -- Acting quickly in anger leads to foolish choices.
Proverbs 15:18 -- Calmness de-escalates.
Proverbs 16:32 -- Self-control > Aggressive anger.
Proverbs 19:11 -- Wisdom assists in letting go.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 -- Anger is the mark of a fool.
Psalm 4:4 -- Command to pause and reflect before acting.
Ephesians 4:26-27 -- Anger isn't sin, but acting on it without self-control can lead you there.
On and on...
Think about all this within the lens of being mad at everyone and spiking the ball on a bowl. I think they'll look back someday and think about how they should have taken a few days off--turned the TV off, the radio and podcasts off and touched grass for a few days--THEN decide on whether they should back out of a bowl or burn bridges with the ACC. If Notre Dame ain't careful, they'll be "Beautiful Mind"ing their way into seeing how they can legally play Rice University twelve times in one year and get it to count. Nobody wants to play or associate themselves with the attitude or perspective ND carrying around.
Guess they don't teach Biblical principles in Catholic school anymore.
