Note on Jeff Thomas Situation

Lol Thomas isn’t Rosa Parks here taking a stand and doing what’s good, he’s more of that lazy *** talented brother who doesnt give a bleep about anything. He only stands up and doesn’t care because that’s how he’s survived. Doesn’t cut it in the real world, anyone of you who run a company or are management would fire anyone that acts like this kid most of the time.

I’m all about complaining about how Richt is doing a crappy job with almost everything at Miami but this isn’t one of the reasons. Thomas was our most talented WR who is also our biggest knucklehead
It makes it easier to quit when the clown is leading you. Thats all we are saying. Josh Gordon is a knucklehead and did knucklehead things with hue jackson. Now he is with Bill Belichick straight as an arrow. Coaching matters

joke replies here

i wonder if you were in his shoes and had to worry about his future if things would change.

you're a 5 star WR in an offense commanded by rosier..

you're costing me $$$

Yeah, that entire thing you just posted was complete & utter bullshi*t. SMH
man Tweed if you aren't going to clarify why even kill him for that? when facts are not known common sense takes over and what he wrote is completely logical.

and this is the cancer reference that Thomas Brown alluded to a month or so ago. i knew it then, i know it now.

regardless, winning cures everything and if we had been winning, this would have not happened.

What would Jimmy Johnson do?

I get that JT4 might have some issues but losing your best player isnt the way to go when your struggling. Most schools work with kids like this. Especially after sitting in his families living room and promising to take care of the kid before he signed.

we were 10-3 last year and Thomas tried to quit. We were 8-5 the year prior when he committed so you telling me we gotta go undefeated for him to be satisfied? His own high school wasn't undefeated.

1. You can't compare Jimmy Johnson to Mark Richt. 1 has championships on all levels, the other is still working towards it.
2. Jimmy Johnson wouldn't get on his knees and beg a player to stay if he's trying to quit for a 2nd year in a row.

Or he finally pulled his head out of his a$$ and figured this is my last chance. I mean how many times was he suspended by NFL and team.....thats on the player

He did the same thing in high school.

I agree that our offense is a disaster and Richt is to blame. But this is something we've all been worried about since JT4 signed.

Don't hire anyone you can't fire.

Don't recruit a kid you can't handle.

Mork Rich has violated both of those rules.

I agree with what you’re saying about Richt but I think you’re giving Thomas too much credit. He quit on his high school team and wanted to transfer (allegedly) last year in the midst of a good season. Dude just seems to have a problem with authority

I don't see why winning and raising quality young men can't be done at the same time. These young men want to WIN, and Richt doesn't place as much value on winning as doing things his way. It's stupid.

It can be, but to the losers that populate this fanbase, it's an either or situation. I'd be ashamed if UMiami tolerated the crap that goes on at places like Ohio State, Penn State, etc. You can be a great student-athlete, and not be a **** jackass. The 2001 team proved that. Jimmy's teams had characters, but they didn't have guys like Aaron Hernandez running around. I feel little sympathy for any student-athlete that gets multiple chances, and manages to **** all of them away.

What would Reed do? Are you ******* serious? He played for a corch who was a **** statue on the field clapping while his players did what they needed to do to win despite him. Reed dominated. And when things were happening below standard, he held his teammates accountable. He didn't pout or skip practice. He led. From the front.

I get the frustration with this staff, truly. But keep Ed Reed out of this. He would have been a leader, not a whiny *****.

Bingo. Richt is nearing retirement, and these young men have yet to earn a dime. Let me guess, Richt would tell them that bank accounts collect dust as well as rings. I don't see him taking a pay cut or letting go of play calling duties in order to help these young men achieve their goals. You know, the same **** goals HE had when he was 20 years old.

Remember, this is the same **** Mark Richt that almost transferred away from UM because of playing time. He needs to remember what it's like to be 20 years old and wanting to make plays. By the way, Richt never deserved to play here, because he wasn't any good. Jeff Thomas, on the other hand, is the most explosive player on the team. He actually has a gripe. Richt never did.
correct the name of the game is $ if Richt does not believe it just let him give back 1 million of his salary!!!! Even 500K to the U.

Tweed, I can understand you're in a difficult spot being close with Lo.

But be real with us. How bad are things?

For obvious reasons I don’t post or say anything publicly for that matter, BUT I will say this, nothing is ever as bad as messageboard rumors/chatter will have you believe. Of course some young guys are upset, because they want to play, (THAT HAPPENS EVERYWHERE) but to suggest all of our top talent from the 2018 class is going to leave over it, is not only reckless , but it’s completely unfair to the kids that these rumors are being started on. I compare it to employees at a job that complain amongst themselves, saying how much they hate their job and that they are going to quit, but still show up to work the next day to get the job done. The only difference is, is that those employees don’t have thousands of fans deciphering every social media post. And that’s all I have to say about that. I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving.

I see a lot of you guys blaming Thomas and calling him a quitter and worse. It appears some of you are under the impression this happened in just the past couple days and Thomas quit on the team.

The truth is this has been going on for months by many players and Thomas is the only one with the guts to speak out and do something about the coach and cultural problem that we have at Miami.

If you asked Mark Richt how important winning is for his life it would be pretty far down on the list. Even his ego (comment about his plays working for 30 years proves that) outweighs his desire to win. When you lose a game and say things like we can still reach our goal of winning the coastal rather than being ticked off and apologizing (I cant stand Tebow or the Gators, but that type of emotion after he lost the year he made the speech is what i expect from each of the players and that all starts with the HC).

When you are a competitor that wants to win at all costs, but have a coach and a culture that does not adapt and keeps doing the same 6 plays throughout the whole game, keeps a 5th year senior at Qb who cant throw farther than 5 yards, and has an inexperienced QB coach solely because he is your son, you lose it. Not only is it holding Thomas back from winning but also his future and NFL stock.

Say what you want about Thomas being a quitter, but think what competitors like Kobe, Jordan, or Reed would do with this coaching staff. Thomas didnt quit he spoke out against the coaches and kept doing it. He saw Richt week after week being too stubborn to change and blaming players rather than himself. They are comfortable with losing and the assistants are a bunch of yes men. If the coaches dont care why should he?

This is the same thing that happened with Butler in Minnesota. Wiggins and KAT where not fierce competitors and did not want to win at all costs, when he went to Philly he was all smiles because he was with people that had that drive. Without that drive you are just wasting his time and will never be champion.
Do you have any inside sources? Cause a lot of this is false :rk5i6fxwjlgev5j6.jpg::rk5i6fxwjlgev5j6.jpg::rk5i6fxwjlgev5j6.jpg::rk5i6fxwjlgev5j6.jpg:
