Not crowning but ****

I crowned him and I still stand by it. I think he’s going to be a great player in CFB and he’s going to be a very good pro too. He has every single tool and intangible you want in a trigger man. I also think he’s going to be a top 3 pick in the NFL draft before he leaves. Reminds me of Josh Allen.

You can’t name a single thing you want in a QB that TVD is missing. Not one.

I said it as far back as May…he should’ve been the starter going into the season, even over King
I'll admit that I'm one that Cribbo mentioned saying he didn't have it...I'm guilty, lol...but I also said I thought a Buechele type was best in Lashlee offense with our weapons

Exactly. Kyle was a guy that just lacked it between the ears. He was the prototypical "Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane" guy. Lacked toughness. I'll never forget against GT, Miami desperately needs a 1st down, and he does a give up slide on 3rd and short, instead of lowering his shoulder and going for it. That's when I realized that he lacked courage.

The FSU was his first career start. He looked like trash the year before when Berlin got hurt against GT. Kyle had moments, but for as much hype as he received, he was mediocre as ****. Dude was in a legit QB battle against Kirby Freeman. That is all you need to know about Kyle. Still remember him trying to big time people on campus, despite being a garbage dump of a player.
Kyle was good his first year starting , he was 18 td and 10 Int with close to 60 percent passing. With a a terrible ol and nowhere near the skills guys that brock had. Kyle also had some clutch moments. It’s easy to forget this because of how his career finished. The guy had some of the worst coaching a qb could have.

Brock Berlin’s JR year was some of the worst qb play in school
history, he had 12 td and 17 int. He was the single reason we lost both games that year and didn’t win a natty. Wasting arguably the best defense in school history. I believe they have up around 9 ppg. And it would be even lower if not for all his int’s and pick sixes. We forget that because of his Sr year, weird how that works.

Look beyond the numbers that first year. Miami had to ride Ty Moss as the O, because Kyle was inconsistent as ****. When you remember that Kyle got almost a third of his TD passes for the SEASON against Wake Forest, it puts those numbers in perspective. From there, he regressed. He was unable to grow within any offense and while the changes at OC didn't help, it is obvious why he didn't make it. He was a bust, and most likely would have been a bust anywhere he went.

Brock was awful as a junior, and that's mostly a reflection on Chud and his inability to grasp the obvious when it came to Brock: Brock was at his best in a spread, in a tempo based offense. Chud kept trying to force Brock to play under center and we saw how it worked out. I'll never understand why Chud refused to let Brock play from the shotgun on a regular basis. You think it's an accident that he played his best ball when Miami was behind and in the hurryup? Then again, this program was slow as **** in regards to moving beyond "Pro Style Bro".

Something CMR said during the halftime show was telling....he basically said that the reason for the offensive explosion is because Lashlee/Diaz was treating TVD like a Freshman/1st time starter but after the UVA and UNC losses, coaches knew what time it was and had nothing to lose by opening up the entire playbook to TVD and see what will happen...and he's shocked EVERYBODY by responding in an unbelievable way....

So hats off to TVD and our kids but dang it CMD and Lashlee...scared $$$ don't make none.....saw it with Diaz loving "older guys" and now we hear about it that Lashlee sort of did his play calling the same way due to TVD being a younger inexperienced player. I really hope this is a learning and humbling moment for both coaches....

Yep. History is funny , people just remember the end but forget he looked very promising his first year starting.
showed balls of steel up in Tallahassee behind that garbage line

But that line, and incredible corching, ultimately doomed him. He lost all confidence in the pocket

From your lips to God's ears... hopefully. **** Diaz, **** the corching staph, **** the admin. But if there's one thing I always want from our Cane's it the highest levels of success in spite of the staph. We need to put a good QB in the NFL. It's been waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long.

I thought TVD would be a turnover machine. Certainly never in a million years would’ve guessed we’d see this type of performance (on the road). Glad to eat my words. As Cribby points out, hopefully there isn’t a Rosier-like regression once there is more tape on him. I doubt it. But teams are certainly going to start focusing on him in their game planning.

Teams will play more zone against him and Lashlee. We shall see.

Same guys calling Pit and Ncsu trash were saying they’d drag miami like they were juggernauts. Which is it?
In all fairness Manny's track record vs competent teams likely played a factor. In the scheme of things most ACC teams are mediocre Miami has by far more talent than anyone we played except BAMA.
