Not breaking news, but…

@Ghandi so your source is BIASED, but you are trying to blame this on Mario?

What would YOU do in the passing game if you had a QB that throws the most basic of INT'S?

WE DID NOT GET CONSERVATIVE AFTER the bye. That is a stupid narrative parroted by ignorant Miami fans.

The 2 games coming off the BYE week Miami had 51 total first downs and averaged 468 totals yards per game. We averaged 340 passing yards per game! BRO STYLE BABY!!

No we got more conservative after those 2 games because TVD threw 5 INT'S, and we had 9 total turnovers. If you were a HEAD COACH would you not think wow we may need to lean on run little more, quit putting the ball in harms way as much, and lean on defense a little more as the way our QB is playing its not a formula for winning football when he is seeing ghosts, and throwing just horrible interceptions.

Also the Clemson game we had to start Emory so of course that gameplan would be much more consevative. Well it worked, we come back out against UVA try putting it in the air against UVA, and TVD is throwing bad picks again.

I want an offense that runs more tempo, I want to see a new QB, and I want to see an aggressive open offense. I just don't think we have a QB room that can execute that right now either with no confidence in TVD, no experience in Emory, and not a talented passer in Jacurri.

I dont think Dawson was a slam dunk hire by any means. I don't think he is the crunchiest pickle in the barrell. I think their are more talented brighter mind OC's out there than Dawson. I think the Dawson hire was a hire that shows Mario is willing to try different styles offensively.

Dawson has a lot of fallback options as a QB coach because he’s in the Dana Holgerson tree of coaches that go where he goes.

Mario, on the other hand, is going to have to name his boyfriend the OC because NOBODY with a desire to continue their career will come here.
Agree and definitely on the Mario part but I just don't think that's the career trajectory that Dawson envisioned or probably wants. But who knows? Nothing surprises me around our program any longer.

And we're not even accounting for Mario probably having to wayyyy overpay for whatever bum actually would take the job too. At that point, I'm going to start stealing money from the offerings basket at my Catholic church and just be like "No worries. Columbus High is cool with handing our free cash. The diocese must agree."

I didn’t know at the time but he 100 percent did make concessions. Hm being an “air raid” guy made Mario uneasy. The run game alone is a giveaway.
Inside info isn't needed on this one. At every single opportunity, Mario and crew mentioned how important it had been for Dawson to have "evolved" his run game. It was question number 1 here:

1. Will Coach Cristobal truly hand over the reigns to Coach Dawson's presumed style?
Of course, the sensical answer is "well, he brought him in, so obviously." However, we've consistently heard quotes from both Coach Cristobal and Coach Mirabal about how Dawson "has really evolved" and how much of the "run game diversity" he's included in the general spread principles. To me, that naturally indicates they want *their* brand and imprint on the offense.

In the last 4 games played:

TVD/Miami - 38 passing attempts per game, 31 rushing attempts per game
Penix/Washington - 36 passing attempts, 26 rushing attempts
Williams/USC - 36 passing attempts, 32 rushing attempts
Maye/UNC - 32 passing attempts, 38 rushing attempts

Dawson doesn't have a gimp chain around his neck. Dawson is the one that told you he chose to throw the ball on 3rd down against A&M that won the game. He's the one with the "I'm trying to end this f***ing thing" quote. And he was allowed to do it. Mario didn't stop him then. But now...now all the sudden that his QB is trash and he can't figure out how to beat a zone Mario is the one holding him back in the shadows.

There is nothing to support any of your conspiracies and it can't simply be that TVD became brain dead and Dawson has no idea how to fix it.

Here are the actual facts:

-The offense was a top 10 offense in the country up until Ga Tech
-Our starting QB had a mental breakdown during that game and has not recovered, and the offense has never looked the same
-Opposing defenses are running the same scheme EVERY GAME against us that we cannot scheme around
-There is absolutely no creativity on offense anymore

You can say all you want that Mario is sabotaging our season in the background but the reality is we have a QB who has lost his mind and an OC that can't figure out how to beat zone coverage. None of that is on Mario. He may be an absolutely horrible game day coach but I don't for a second believe the offensive struggles are on him and not Dawson. The offensive line, Mario and Mirabel's area, is giving TVD ALL FREAKING DAY to throw the ball and Dawson can't figure out a way to get people the ball.

And honestly, I don't blame Mario for slowing the game down. If TVD cannot complete a pass your only hope is to keep it low scoring, which worked against UVA and Clemson. And almost worked against NC State. How quickly we forget the Lashlee 3 and outs that took 17 seconds off the clock and would get us behind 3 scores before we could blink. This team cannot come back from behind with TVD.
" The offensive line, Mario and Mirabel's area, is giving TVD ALL FREAKING DAY to throw the ball and Dawson can't figure out a way to get people the ball."

That line is what does it for me..... Look I don't know what's going on behind the scenes.... All I know is what I see and we have a QB that can't make throws and a OC who isn't adjusting for what's being thrown at him by opposing DC's.... Wherever anyone wants to point the blame finger, fine point it... Bottom line the problem has to be addressed or it's a redo for the third straight year....

That’s where you’re wrong, friend.

Mario wants a guy who can force to run bro style in 2024 and beyond. That style of football (ball control, defense) just doesn’t win at the highest levels anymore.

Game by game, the offense has gotten slower, more condensed, and less imaginative with the sets and formations. That’s ALL MARIO.

It doesn’t matter who comes in after Dawson.

Before the horrific TVD pick in the redzone, we threw the ball 17 times to 11 runs. And that was with Fletcher being efficient in the run game.

But please, keep throwing rocks at the hornets nest. It's definitely what we need right now, especially with an easily influenced and uneducated fanbase. Good stuff.
