Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

I’ll give that ******* credit, he called it last year too. When Baghdad Brenda Sonnine was talking about a CFP run along with their other pundits, Bud was the only one raising red flags about the roster and program. Said repeatedly not to be surprised if the team took a step back.

They’ve improved, marginally, at certain positions. But the big 🚩 for me last year was how terrible the WR room was, and how underwhelming their RB was. Those same issues persist.

"Called it" might be overstating things a slight bit. "Taking a step back" and "Going from an Undefeated 13-1 record to 2-10" are very different things.

I don't expect Bud to report "we are going to have 11 fewer wins than last year" but I will give him credit for not predicting "Revenge for The Snub".

Even if F$U actually DID win 7 games, what does that prove? That 2-10 was the anomaly? **** no, it proves that 13-1 was the anomaly.

And there's no way that F$U wins 7 games this year.

I recall at one point him saying not to be surprised if they only one 8-9 games. No one I think knew how bad it really was.

That sounds about right.

I know that some people questioned when I did this last year, but outside of the "19-game winning streak" (6 in 2022 and 13 in 2023), F$U has been terrible under Mike Norvell. They even opened 2022 with a 4-3 start against weak competition (they beat unranked LSU, who eventually became a ranked team, and they lost to ranked Wake, NC State, and Clemson, with both Wake and NCS being unranked by year-end), and then they finished the year by beating 6 unranked teams (yes, Miami was one of them).

Yes, everything clicked in 2023, both QB and coaching. Outside of that one shining moment, F$U has been awful. Their "starting point" for how good they can be each year should be 7 wins. Certainly not 13 wins.

Just remember when FSU goes sub .500 again, it will be 7 out of the last 9 years they’ve been below .500. 7 out of the last 9. Think about how bad that is. We’d have to go back to 1977 to have 7 losing seasons and that includes 2 stints on probation and the effects from it. Laughable that they think the SEC or Big want that ****show.

That’s actually a crazy stat

And imagine where they would be if Travis didn’t turn out to be an excellent college qb.

Norvell was in the right place at the right time with a great agent. All the stars aligned with portal hits, schedule, and Travis hitting his stride. Now fSu is stuck with a 60+ million dollar coaching staff that they won’t be able to offload for at least 2-3 more years.

Dude on the left thinks they are going to win 10-11 games this year, because their transfer portal class graded pretty high.

I have a question. How are the transfers graded? Are they graded on their high school rankings or their actual college production/level of play.

I totally get their 2023 transfer class being ranked high. They got some studs in that class. Their 2024 transfer class also graded high, but we all questioned who they got that was actually good. Sure, DJU was even worse than advertised, but they literally got no proven players in that 2024 class. Same with this 2025 class. Who did they get thats so good to give them this high transfer portal class grade?

These might be two of the dumbest mother****ers I've ever heard wax poetic about the SemenHoles.

Outside of their MONOTONOUS insistence that 2024 was an "anomaly", and that they would "regress [or progress] back to the mean", they have overlooked something crucial.

By doing a "trailing three-year assessment" of Portal rankings, they have ignored the fact that all the good Portal players that Prison Mike lined up for 2023...ARE LONG GONE...and this "amazing" Portal class from 2024...got them a 2-10 record...

I don't know how to say this any other way, but the "early adopter" advantage that Prison Mike had in the Transfer Portal a couple of years ago is long, long gone.

And as for this "but our recruiting didn't drop off"...YES IT DID. The 2025 recruiting class that F$U signed was...Top 20...right? RIGHT?

Sure, it was the #19 overall class. BUT THEY HAD THE #6 PORTAL RANK. Meaning, if you factor out the transfers, the "high school recruiting" was not at all "Top 20".

What in the ACTUAL ****? In a year when the roster size jumped from 85 to 105, they signed 23 high school kids. ONLY SIX were 247 4-stars, the rest were 3-stars.

F$U fans are in terrible shape. They are now arguing that they are going to win "10 or 11 games" based on Portal recruiting from 3 years ago.

Pathetic.

The inexplicable thing is that Norvell has been at FSU twice as long as Mario has been at Miami, and yet he has virtually no developed quarterback room.

He has no blue chip quarterbacks on his roster. The two high school blue chip players that he recruited in the last four years are already gone.
