Wow. NCAA needs to step in and regulate punishments for criminal offenses. If you get arrested there should be sanctions period.

So where is the MADD march in Tuscaloosa? Advocacy groups fail when met with indifference and 'Bama has it by the ton.

I don't blame Satan one bit on this one. If the school, SEC, and NCAA don't care, why should he. He is there for one thing, and that is to win football games. Until the farce that is the NCAA steps up and makes and enforces rules against things like this it will continue to be a common occurance

At the end of the day, who's keeping their job, the guy with multiple championships and 10% or more of his team with an arrest record, or the guy with 0 arrests going for 7-9 wins every year? Look at Urban Meyer. The arrests at Florida weren't really even a problem since he was always winning. It didn't become big news until he left.

Alabama Crimson Tide DL Da'Shawn Hand won't be suspended for DUI arrest

Starting DT, better believe ol' Nicky wasn't about to suspend him with week 1 against FSU looming

Really laid the hammer down on this one

No suspension "so long as he completes certain requirements such as community service and police ride-alongs."

Can't make this stuff up. Anyone still clinging onto "there's no SEC bias"?

Want to wager his trip to jail in the squad car counts as a police ride-along?

Wins equate to money for the school and the coaching staff. Without pressure from a fan base, BOT, conference or governing body (NCAA) it is a good business decision as a coach to let the kid play. If the school has an issue with the Student/Athlete let them levy a punishment, or sent a directive to the sprots programs about acceptable behavior.

It comes down to the fact that the NCAA is a farce that will selectively punish and turn a blind eye as desired if it make financial sense for them. If the revenue stream beings to dry, they will look for answers. But again, these athletes are supposed to be student/athletes, lets look over some rosters throughout college football and see how that is truly playing out. It's all about business, and the business is about making money.

They probably let him drive the squad car. Then bragged about it at the KKK meeting

Had 2 dudes arrested on felony charges last year and didn't have **** happen to them.
I laugh when parents want to get their kids away from the trouble they can get in in South Florida and hand their children to a ****ing scumbag who sees you as nothing but a number

Some parents hand their kids over to Nicky Satan to stay out of trouble, specifically get a "get out of jail free card" that way the kid can get the NFL payday and the parents are set. Don't confuse the statement of wanting to get the kids away from SoFla as great parenting in "some cases"
