you'd have to agree what you had in your hand was a bird..... doesn't happen on CISA bird in hand…

Hoya, completely fair but CIS and the Hecht should always have the same irrational takes..you'd have to agree what you had in your hand was a bird..... doesn't happen on CIS
X has always been slow and scouts knew that but point taken. He should have never ran that 40.FWIW if anyone in the building has half a brain and tells Restrepo to fake a sore ankle and not run the 40, he clearly gets drafted.
I'll believe the Horton hype when I see it. Maybe they lather him in deer antler spray down there, but I saw a 4.6 kid with 6'2-ish size. I don't see some elite NFL prospect. But maybe if he tears it up in the SEC that'll change. If he was some lock NFL pick, he'd have just come out this year. He was eligible.
CJ Daniels is the Horton replacement. The #1 they were hoping to enter the portal was a slot not an outside receiver. The slot is the #1 receiver in Dawson’s offense. Eric Singleton, Zachariah Branch and KC Concepcion were the true missesX has always been slow and scouts knew that but point taken. He should have never ran that 40.
The staff gambled letting Horton go and going all in with another WR who never entered the portal. It back fired in their faces.

This not all accurate. #1 wasn’t a slot and we whiffed with both.CJ Daniels is the Horton replacement. The #1 they were hoping to enter the portal was a slot not an outside receiver. At the end of the season, I was optimistic about our WR situation. I felt like Horton had the skillset and physical abilities to turn into a homegrown #1 WR. That would give opportunities for Trader and Carr to develop with less pressure as Horton would draw extra coverage, and that would the young guys more catches, and Beck would have more confidence in them going into the latter part of the season. Horton wanted more money as he knew what some of us knew- he was going to be the premier WR on the team.
Cristobals player evals are horrendous (think Diaz with LBs), and so our staff decided to let him walk and pinned its hopes on other top WRs entering the portal AND giving them the money that they could have given Horton (and avoided this whole situation). Didn’t happen. Last year they wanted one of the two top DBs, then they missed and decided we had plenty of DB talent on the roster. No big deal. Just cost us a playoff spot and if you believe Nick Saban, a chance to compete for the national championship.

Worst spring portal of the Mario era?
Norvell had an offseason like this after his best season, which also ended in disappointment. He thought going undefeated would cause players to fall over themselves rushing to join his program. In the end, they didn’t have the funds or the traction with players, despite a historic season.
Mario had the #1 draft pick and couldn’t make the 12 team playoff. Is this hurting him?
What’s the issue here.
Henderson ranked #1, 4th back picked , Rd 2.Ohio State class of 2021 had 14 guys in the top 100, some transferred out, others left for the NFL draft early , but this was the senior core of the national title run this year. 2 of them went 1st round, 2 went 2nd round, and the 5th went 4th round View attachment 324675

Dude this is CIS. All that positive stuff gets thrown out. Don't you know these posters are experts and know better than our staff. Come on get with the program. LOL247's national writers just put out an article listing Miami as THE winner of the spring portal.
You seem to be under the belief that there were all these elite options available. Haulcy was actually the only P4 all-conference player that entered. And you also seem to not appreciate how much money has changed recruiting. Penn St made Pena one of the top paid WR in the country. LSU paid more than we could for Haulcy. **** Texas Tech has the #1 transfer class, and it's not because of winning on the feld. That's what "hurt" Miami.
I mean, Cristobal still added the spring portal #2 WR in Marion & #2 Safety in Thomas. So maybe the outrage isn't actually warranted
Who is Bamas QB?
Ty Simpson probably starts for them if the season starts tomorrow. Former 5 star QB.
Is he good?
Agree with most of this except for the reality that LSU had to pay way less than we would have had to in order to land Haulcy.247's national writers just put out an article listing Miami as THE winner of the spring portal.
