From a recruiting standpoint I agree. The problem is how good of a WR coach is he actually? Beard is probably equal or better on the field. Maybe we'll hire someone better than either.

Nonstarter for me. Richt is running the offense. So I'm not expecting a big name coach for co-OC. I'm not worried about that. Ok, a little bit worried about who will be OL coach, but Richt will call plays. He'll coach Kaaya. Whatever. My concern is who he finds to coach our defense.

By the way, this sucks for all of us if. Richt is supposed to be a very well respected and connected HC. If he can't even bring in a good coaching staff it's a huge warning flag. Not the way any one of us expected his tenure to begin. Most of the big time coaches have already been scooped up.

Bruh...no offense because your opinion is important to this board just like the rest of ours but is it possible to pass judgement until Richt at least hire a full staff? You make a good point. I hope you're right, man. I have a wait and see attitude, but I'm hoping for the best. I understand he just got the job. But I think most of us are at the end of our rope when it comes to patience after the debacle that we've been subjected to for years.

I feel you man, I just choose to hope for the best until proven otherwise. Because right now, everything is pretty much just speculation based off of internet rumors.

He gets hired: "**** yeah, him and his staff were like 200-10 in the SEC! Perennial winner!"

He misses on his assistants: "They were a bunch of losers who just got fired! Like 0-30 in big games."

The season is 9 months away and they're already steeling themselves for Richt's first loss. They bring it up constantly. Of course Richt is going to lose a game, or two, or who knows. Doesn't matter. We're wedded to him for 5 years.

I hope we can win the Coastal (yup, I'd settle for that).

There is only one thing that concerns me. Richt likely wants to surround himself with clean, faith and family-oriented guys. Those types are not always a natural fit in Miami.

Personally, I want guys like Ed Orgeron. All he cared about was recruiting, watching film, living on Brickell Key, chasing women and generally going harder than a Russian.

If anyone but you and a few others said this, you would be called a Butch lover.

Putting together a staff is a big concern, I hope it works out. Pruitt was a savage and there was talk that Richt and him didn't get a long.

I was talkin scott and lilly, with beard i can say first hand ive seen him coach and hes a very good position coach, a lot of the local kids respect him too, it would be beastly with him and mcclendon on the staff
