N'kosi Perry

Its not about arm strength. It's about overall ability as a passer. The dude who coached at osu said martell wasn't a better passer than braxton miller. Miller was a horrible passer.

And tate struggled in the spring even with the short shît and that's supposed to be his strength. He was solid in the spring game but lets not act like he was just slinging the ball all over the field. And there are different variations of the west coast offense these days. Andy reid base is a west coast offense but he likes to push the ball downfield.

Nick marshall played in a run first spread offense. Tim tebow played in a run first spread offense. Mcsorley played in a spread offense. Martell is in a pro-style offense. If we were running a spread i would probably agree that martell might be the answer.
Braxton Miller completed 60% of his passes for 52TD and only 17 interceptions. It's funny how y'all think Enos is going to develop Kosi and Jarren but when it comes to Tate, he's just going to stay the same.

Again, show me one throw in the spring game that Tate wasn't capable of making. I'm still waiting. The longest pass any of the QBs threw was like 30 yards, if that.

Enos said the offense is going to be catered to whatever QB wins the job. basically saying that if Tate wins it we will be in shotgun more. Which we should be anyway bc that will mask a suspect oline.

It doesn't matter if Tebow and Marshall were in a run first or pass first offense. If u knew anything about the spread u would know that the passing scheme came from the west coast offense. Do some research on Hal Mumme.

Okay, I went to the Pitt game last year (Canes won, thanks to the D). Perry started off ~1 for 14. It was unbelievably painful to watch, some of the worst QB play I’ve seen since Kirby Freeman. This after two years in the program and half a dozen starts. It was inexcusably bad. Blaming the OL, the coach, the scheme, the sloppy receivers, whatever, just doesn’t cut it. At some point excuses don’t obscure terrible decision-making and God-awful QB play. If anyone thinks Perry is the answer, they are simply delusional.

I was at the spring game. Tate does not throw a pretty ball at all, he lacks touch, and will struggle on out routes. That's not his game, his game is extending plays, decisiveness, and pocket awareness.

The longest pass play was a slant to Osborn from Tate that was a line drive wobbler. It was on target but it was an ugly ball. The only reason it went for a TD though was because we had 5th string 5'6" white S in the game who whiffed on the tackle.

Every QB went against that 5'6" white safety who wiffs on tackles and only one of them threw a 80 yard TD pass.

But I was talking about passes that the ball traveled through the air. The longest was like 30 yards.

There are plenty qbs who throw an ugly ball. Dorsey won a natty. Peyton Manning won multiple superbowls and will be in the HOF.

I can show u a pass that he threw over a LB and if he lacked touch it would have been picked.

Facts !!!!

If you do some research you would know it's much easier to throw in a spread offense because of the spacing. Martell was in a spread offense at osu that was all about getting the ball and wrs hands and letting them work. And he still struggled.

And lol at miller completing 60% of his passes. That's terrible when he was only throwing the ball 15 times a game.

And who said enos wouldn't help martell improve? My thing is perry and williams are already better passers than him. That means even if they all get better then perry and williams will still be better passers.

Its great that tate is athletic but i want somebody who will be able to get these wrs and te the ball. If he can become at least a average passer then that would be a upgrade.

It just ridiculous to have all these tate groupies based off of nothing. You don't have to dîck ride anybody. Just let these dudes handle it on the field.

Or maybe Fields can just throw the ball better and is a better overall QB.

Did Nick Marshall have an elite arm? Tim Tebow? McSorely? Y'all act like u have to have an all pro arm to win in CFB. It's actually hilarious.

Show me proof of one throw Tate wasn't capable of making in our spring game.

It’s like some of u all don't know what a west coast offense is. U get the ball out quick to your WRs, who are in large part are only running short to intermediate routes, and let them do all the leg work.

Does that sound like u need a QB with a JaMarcus Russell arm?
The Jury is still ou

the jury is still out on fields honestly, he looked bad in osu spring game and was missing a lot of throws

U call 82% completion percentage struggling? Lol I'd love to know what u call Malik and Kosi 50% completion percentage.

I'm pretty sure Enos specifically called our offense the "spread coast"

Lol u can reply after u do some research and actually know what you're talking about.

He plays in a qb friendly system so probably make it to the league
I mean that data is already there. Over 50% of 5 stars making it to the league. He's more likely to make it to the league than bust.

He played vs rutgers 3rd string. Rutgers had shîtkowski looking like a good qb in practice. If you can't complete passes vs them you just plain trash. And i don't care what enos calls the offense. Coaches always say they gone do this and that. I will believe it when i see it. Anything else?

The longest ball was a duck by Jarren Williams that was intercepted by a 5'6" white safety. I don't need a lesson on why Tate can win here, i'm in his camp. I only said touch throws and deep outs aren't his game.

I’m still not entirely confident in him. We will see but I just Didn’t like the way he played and threw the ball in a number of games last year. With that being said he certainly could improve
Agreed, the Td pass to beat FSU where he looked off the defense and then came back to Jordan was a thing of beauty. After that much of his accuracy and decision making **** the bed.

So, his game is hitting crossing routes, screens and posts? If he has no touch and can't hit deep outs, I've gotta be concerned about all the routes. Sad to say, none of the three seemed any great upgrade over Rosier, after Spring practice was done. Hopefully, one will seize control of the job in a month.

LOL at him struggling at OSU when he was around 85% completion rate for all his playing time, including 10 for 10 in one game.

This isn’t to bash rosier but I vehemently disagree. Each of those guys have more talent than him and will be playing in a better system. Let’s see what happens before we start making statements like that

Any of them would be better than Rosier. There aren't many who wouldn't be, what a crazy comment. LOL

So what is it? First u said he struggled, now you're saying he didn't bc he was playing against Rutgers 3rd string. Which your wrong about once again bc his first TD was in the 2nd quarter. Not only did he complete a pass against Rutgers but he went 10/10 - no incompletions.

U don't have to care what Enos calls the offense. U seen very clear in the spring game that it is exactly how he described. West coast passing game.

But nah I don't have anything else. I bar'd u up and u exposed yourself for having zero football knowledge. Lmk next time u want a cool 16 again, I got u lmao.
