Braxton Miller completed 60% of his passes for 52TD and only 17 interceptions. It's funny how y'all think Enos is going to develop Kosi and Jarren but when it comes to Tate, he's just going to stay the same. Its not about arm strength. It's about overall ability as a passer. The dude who coached at osu said martell wasn't a better passer than braxton miller. Miller was a horrible passer.
And tate struggled in the spring even with the short shît and that's supposed to be his strength. He was solid in the spring game but lets not act like he was just slinging the ball all over the field. And there are different variations of the west coast offense these days. Andy reid base is a west coast offense but he likes to push the ball downfield.
Nick marshall played in a run first spread offense. Tim tebow played in a run first spread offense. Mcsorley played in a spread offense. Martell is in a pro-style offense. If we were running a spread i would probably agree that martell might be the answer.
Again, show me one throw in the spring game that Tate wasn't capable of making. I'm still waiting. The longest pass any of the QBs threw was like 30 yards, if that.
Enos said the offense is going to be catered to whatever QB wins the job. basically saying that if Tate wins it we will be in shotgun more. Which we should be anyway bc that will mask a suspect oline.
It doesn't matter if Tebow and Marshall were in a run first or pass first offense. If u knew anything about the spread u would know that the passing scheme came from the west coast offense. Do some research on Hal Mumme.
