LMAO

Never knew they wanted him at LB first. What a mistake that would have been IMO.

Even that boob Golden couldn't ***** up Njoku at TE. He tried though.

Yeah he did! Here's a quote from the sun sentinel:

“David is kind of a hybrid for us. He’s 230 pounds. So is he a Big X because he runs well and has explosiveness? Is he an H-back? Or is he a SAM?,” Golden said. “We wanted to take a look at [strong side linebacker] now because we know what his ball skills and movements are like. I couldn’t really give you an update based on this morning. We want to look at his basic movements because he has length and size, like we tried Trayone Gray at tailback and it stuck. We’re just trying to look at some guys in different spots.”

Amazing!

Wow, after seeing his athleticism and ball skills, even entertaining the notion of putting Njoku on defense, let alone in D'Onofrio's horrid scheme, is mind boggling.

Golden's a jackass but I don't think you fault him too hard for trying a freak like that out at different positions. He is a special athlete - maybe he would've been the next Lawrence Taylor. You give guys like that a look and see what you got - no harm done.

And yet per the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (mostly from tobacco road), Njoku didn't make 1st, 2nd or 3rd team All ACC.

True, with his range, imagine how far D'orito could have had him play off the LOS. :monkey-serious:

Prior to Samaje Perine's thirty BP reps this week at the Combine did Mike James hold the record for running backs at twenty seven?

27 is probably one of the highest for a RB, but Jerrick McKinnon did 32 and Knile Davis did 31. It's usually FB's that do around 30 reps. Not sure what the record for RB's is.

I thought both he and AQM got invites to the combine? I just looked and his name didn't come up. Thats a shame, I think he would have tested well.

Punter was the one position on the team where Al Golden made speed a priority. The man had a process.
