NFL Combine Thread

Really?

Okay, I thought they had him at 6'3" or 6'4".

As I'm sure you know, the roster numbers aren't always accurate.

Edit: On the roster, they show him at 6'4".

This is the only roster that matters

If Daniel Jones runs a 4.75 40 or something like that then my opinion will change. He's the type of guy who plays slower than his time, I just was not impressed with him enough to want him 13th overall. I really just want Miami to full on tank.

I wouldn't take him at 13 either, IMO, if he's the only QB available with a 1st round grade you wait and address another need or take the best player available. I am intrigued because Cutcliffe is great with QB's and he made Duke better than they've probably ever been.

How good is Cutcliffe though? At what point is using the Mannings as your only true qbs you've developed get tired and questioned as anybody could've made them? Either way hard pass on Jones he has a feel of a qb people look at his size and because he's a qb people try ro convince you of

I mean he's made Duke into a middle of the pack coastal team and they were arguably one of the worst D1 programs prior.

I'd prefer they just take a flyer on Will Grier then in the 2nd round and take a defensive lineman in the 1st. Then if they don't like what they see from Grier it's a lot easier to move on from him unlike if they take Jones 13th.

They kept Tannehill a few years too many based on his draft pedigree and no one wanting to admit they messed up a 1st round pick.

re: Daniel Jones.

Accuracy. He's not accurate to be a legit NFL starter.

I know we live in a post-Josh Allen world where accuracy is fake news or something...but Jones isn't accurate enough to be a legitimate starting NFL QB, but surely someone will try.

After Murray/Haskins...Will Grier probably the next best QB, but he is old af for a QB prospect. His age adjusted numbers point him to more of a backup. Same with Ryan Finley, who I do like more than say...Lock and Jones. Teams are going to try with Lock and Jones...I just think they are low end starters at best. No better than a token backup.

Underrated...probably Jordan Ta'amu. Late rounder could be a decent backup for a while or an AAF/XFL starter.

2 things guaranteed in life: NFLN goes to commercial before the Bucs pick and before Canes run the 40 at the combine.
You know what I’m about sick of the bucs sh*t. They better draft a Miami player this year...

I figured 4.5 would be his time given that those in-house measurements are always inflated

He could run faster I think tho

Look like homer had a funky first 10 yards running. I think he can really improve his second time. He ran a 4.49 though

Willis would be a good fit. Maybe Jaquan Johnson if they don't sign the honey badger. But honestly I like Whitehead's upside.

Quinnen Williams and Devine Ozigbo are my top wants right now for this draft. Idk why you're fed up now after this long. Seems we finally got a good staff and it sounds like Smith will get franchised and Humphries will walk which are good offseason decisions. I just hope they don't overpay Kwon who's already overrated and coming off an ACL tear.

You think Kwon overrated? Imo he’s a playmaker for sure but is reckless at times. I’m hoping we trade our pick if quinnen Williams isn’t available and pick up some more picks like last year when we got 2 extra 2nd round picks by trading back a couple of spots. I want The Bucs to draft Willis or joe Jackson for sure. Fine with the dbs too
