New Offensive Coordinator

We need a guy that's a good fit.

On the upside, South Florida athletes are fast and athletic.

On the downside, South Florida kids have very low IQ's, and they tend to be emotional divas who can't handle playing on the road, and who quit when they are down.

It takes a very special kind of coach to be able to manage that. And it takes a special kind of scheme to get the most of it.

We need to be running a system that is SIMPLE and that allows the kids to play fast without having to think or make any decisions.

That's the key for Miami.

That's what worked for the defense. There was nothing wrong with D'Onofrio scheme, but it was too complicated and just a bad fit for South Florida kids who only want to run to the ball. Then Diaz came in, and took the thinking away from our players, and suddenly the defense improves dramatically. It's still not a sound defense, but our athleticism makes up for the lack of soundness.

We should look at running a high school Air Raid offense or something similar. Just keep it simple, and let our athletes be athletes in space.

I don't know why people say that they wouldn't come to UM, being an OC at UM is a great opportunity for a coach to show is ability to turn a terrible offense into a very good one, not only that but you get pretty good football players without trying to hard.

I agree with you. UM is not wasteland these so called fans want us to believe.
 
let's not be ridiculous ..... as long as Diaz is HC and Blank James is AD, NOTHING WILL GET BETTER !

even after losing to FIU, there are too many people that STILL do not get that ... SMH !!!

That's 100% false.

Just look at how many South Fla players there are at RB, WR, OL & QB in the NFL, if what you're saying was the case they would never get drafted & last in the league as long as they do.

You guys have this severe hatred for South Fla football players but they're literally the most players in the NFL & the most recruited players by every major program in college football.

Jerry Jeudy is going to be a first round draft pick because he went to a good program that developed him. Just because Miami doesn't get the best players in South Fla doesn't mean that there aren't any good ones.

And please knock it off with the "low IQ" narrative, it's a stereotypical bigoted talking point that people love to repeat but it's simply not true.

You're making a completely nonsensical argument that's based on nothing but ignorance & hatred. The majority of our players on Offense are not even from South Fla, does Jarren, Deejay, KJ, Brevin, Jeff Thomas & Will Mallory all need to run an offense where they don't need to think or make any decisions too? Because last time I checked none of them are from South Fla.
 
I can think of nearly 30 OC's that would transform our Offense overnight.

Sean Gleasson. Cowboys are currently No. 13 in total offense nationally. But then again, I don't know where they were ranked last season. And the usual NARRATIVE from Cane fan will be... But they don't play no defense in the Big 12.
 
Diaz is a dead man walking. He’s a first time head coach that has had an abysmal first year. No assistants or top notch coordinators that have the experience to come in and actually make a real, major difference are going to sign up to help save a failing HC and an inexperienced one at that.

Only chance is to get lucky and find the next up and coming guy that has yet to prove much and catch lighting in a bottle. Otherwise, and most likely, it’ll either be some below average retread or a young guy that isn’t ready.

That’s why you don’t hire first time HCs at a major program in the first place and why you certainly don’t stick with them when all signs are pointing towards failure.

South Florida is crawling with fools. I've seen enough of fools like N'Kosi Perry thinking "film study" means making features for pornhub to ever be convinced otherwise.

So I get what you're saying but I have a different perspective. I think one of the reasons South Florida has the best NFL players is because it takes a special kind of person to rise above the failing schools and the cesspool of Genrons that infest South Florida. Once you've risen above all that... your character is solid like no other.

****, even the politicians in South Florida are corrupt and slimy. In fact, that's probably the root of all the issues.

Maybe it's hatred but I think it's more about being annoyed with the place for not cleaning up their act when so many people who I know and care about still live there. Even the nice parts of South Florida are a corrupt cesspool. The schools are failing the kids, there are "influencers" worming their way in to every level of sports, and the whole place is just one big steaming pile of grubby ****.

Other places actually care about their schools, and teach their young people to read. Other places don't have slimeball politicians who fleece the public out of boatloads of money. Other places have economies that are fueled by something other than Colombian blow and money laundering.

But the weather is nice, though.

N'Kosi Perry is from Ocala... That's Northern Fla.
 
What's the budget for Miami's OC? As bad as things have gone here, Enos is still considered 1 of the better OC in CFB. His offense obviously needs a good OLine and QB. His O was doomed from the start and while the Oline has been better and will be better next year.....we still need a QB.
 
You guys act like Manny can get who he wants. Consider the HC and whether any good OC will entertain his offer or even lend him an ear.
Especially firing his first OC after one year.

I think a better idea may be to hire a Co-OC/WR Coach in the same mold as a Joe Brady whom they hired from the Saints. Brady has transformed the LSU offense overnight.

Even freaking LSU and USC, the other top pro style bros that finally got with the times have seen their offenses improve since ditching pro style for spread offense. LSU is dam near top 3 in every category and main reason they are #1 team in country.. USC offense has also done some good things with big improvements over last year even though they have been without their starting QB all year.. Their corch cant turn it to enough wins tho..

Not many oc’s are being paid 1.5 million which is what enos is getting right now
