New Offensive Coordinator

Tough to hire a good coach next year with Manny on the chopping block after next season.
This is why it almost assuredly would have to be someone in transition like a Morris or Fedora. Manny gets the ace? "Oh well, I got me a quick lil one million dollars for my troubles. I wasnt doing **** anyway but watching HTGAM with my wifey . "

LOL at the names some of you guys are suggesting. We are on our fifth head coach since Butch Davis, and throughout every single regime we've had meltdowns over getting rid of coordinators and replacing them with hot commodity, established names. When has any single one of them ever come here?

I just Hope they don’t scape goat the offensive staff as the sole problem. Yeah we have been bad on o at times but **** this defense has looked terrible in more than half of the games in its 4th iteration of the defense. Baker and at least 2 more on the defensive side can bounce too. These problems extend beyond the offensive side of the ball

I posted the exact thing last night. Next year will be a repeat of this year. The whole offensive staff will be gone outside of Hickson and Field and Manny won’t hold anybody accountable on his side of the ball. I would be extremely shocked if Baker is fired.

Chad Morris.

Reasons Why:

Available
Familiar with the ACC and recruiting in the area
HC experience, so Manny can give him the O and keep his focus on D.
Something to prove, so he’s motivated.

Reasons Why Not:

Might go back to G5 HC
Too much swagger for Manny
Not interested in S Florida living
Content with his buyout, so. not motivated.
I like Morris.. might be humbled

There is no chance Dan Enos is gone. I'd actually be shocked at the cojones on Manny Diaz if he were to fire him. I am not sure the decision makers will even consider it.

Could I see some staff changes? I mean, there absolutely should be. Just not sure yet. I think getting a commitment from Jaylon Knighton is enough for Hickson to save his job. Offensive line made some improvement throughout the season, but not enough for the OL Coach to save his job, especially with the disgusted OL recruiting we have going on.

I don't want to presume Manny Diaz is a dummy - even though he graduated from the Tallahassee Clown College - but he has to know this staff really has some garbage recruiters and he needs to get some investment from the decision makers to get some better recruiters and upgrade a few staff spots. You can't be this dense, right?

Look how excited the USC fanbase was when they had Double K Kliff Kingsbury as their OC for a few weeks. That hire was so awesome for that fanbase, they were willing to give Clay Helton even more time.

Even though Kingsbury moved on, USC went with a lite version of Double K with Graham Harrell and they are 5th best passing offense in the nation with ridiculous injuries at the position throughout the year. 9th in SP+ offense. Miami is currently at 58th in SP+ offense (par for the course with Enos, historically).

LSU went out and hired a real football nerd that was learning under some of the greatest passing game minds in football in New Orleans...they took a risk and it was a hit. I don't even need to give you the statistics of that offense...its historically great in college football.

Just imagine how excited the fanbase will get if you can get an offense like that here where you just utilize skill guys at WR for days, lack of focus on the run game, but can still produce - look at how LSU uses CEH out of the backfield and imagine Don Chaney Jr. running that **** out of the backfield.

It'd be pretty fun and I think pretty successful here. Obviously, those are the two guys I think would be really awesome here, but both might be way out of our price range. On the cheap, and on the risky side, maybe try and poach Seth Doege to have a role here instead of just being an assistant. Maybe a Co-OC or passing game coordinator gig? idk.

I was mentioning Sean Gleeson last year when he was still at Princeton, and I really think we missed on a great up n comer. Already has Oklahoma State 17th in the nation in SP+ offense and runs the ball 45 times per game.

After this really ******* trashy season, just give me some reason to be excited. Maybe we are absolute cheeks and we'll never win another championship, but at least let me see ******* touchdowns and passing yards and big plays while you continue to **** away great players.

This is my biggest issue with those that hate Mike Leach...yo man, we wouldn't have won a national championship with him, but life would have been pretty f'n awesome scoring all of those points, breaking all these passing records, sending all of these QBs and WRs into R1 of the NFL Draft again, and having a few Conference Championships to lay claim to.

Like, if Manny is staying, make these years wallowing in the filth at least a little fun.

Dan Mullen begged for the job twice, too much of a savage though. Miami hired Al Golden and Grandpa Richt.

He probably scared Flake into the corner with his interview. I can't imagine being an actual good football coach and have to be interviewed by that beta ***** Blake.

I heard his wife tried to kiss the kid behind the welcome desk at the Hecht.

The only selling point for getting a top OC is our insane pennant for hiring assistants from the previous failed regime as next HC..

So there is a career chance of being the next HC...

For once our stupidity of the past could be an asset ..
