If someone wants to walk around in a $160 high performance lightweight shoe or the year then go ahead. I run in my expensive runners only. There's tons of inexpensive runners that are planty soft for walking and look great. In fact trail runners do that job better IMO. I just got a pair of New Balance 410 V9 for $30 mostly to use for work. Insane kicks for the money actually. This saves my New Balance Hierro's for doing the job they were designed for. I just don't see the wisdom of blowing money for no reason.
But hey do what you want.
Considering how long the runners last, if you aren't wearing them to run in, it's not a bad investment. Never mind the fact that it's a rarity for anyone to pay full retail for sneakers at this point(Unless you are a hypebeast and have to have things immediately). If you are hip to the game, you can grab these shoes at a significant discount, and all you have to do is wait a couple of months for the hype to die down.
