MEGA New Miami Adidas Ultraboost🔥 - The Shoe and Nike/Adidas Thread.

Honestly, get rid of the orange and make it a white and green pair, and I love them even more. The stripes being orange is a lot to digest. Then again, I've always been more partial to the green in our color scheme, it's tough to rock that much orange without it looking some kind of safety manager uniform.
I think orange base would be an interesting pop of color

Or just limit the stripes to one color like you said and have the adidas insignia be the other color.

Hopefully they can put something better together

Better than electrical tape design.

Point is it took 3 seconds to make a better looking shoe even if not to your own liking. A multi million dollar marketing team with months to come up with a design should have done a whole lot better than what they did.
I think you actually made them worse lol but again, people have different likes etc. and yes, adidas should've came up with something better

Also, I’m just the messenger, but;

This is the difference; but, again I’m simply a messenger.

Whoa reverse mummys? I loved their Mummy cleats. I’m a huge fan of SB Dunks and Mummy’s are one of my all time favorite. Can’t wait to see the reverse

Doesn't seem to help Nike sell product. I'm just the messenger.

Those Nike's/Jordans are clean. Adidas in general has some awesome colorways which tend to be clean. Those Adidas kicks are too flashy for me but also not sure why anyone would buy a pair of EVO SL as a comfort shoe. That's a high performance runner that should be used for training/racing only. Adidas could just go with all white and green 3 stripes and keep it clean. Dropset Pro would be much better.

I don't ever pay $160 for runners. That's just dumb. It's a product with a 3-6 month life. I buy whatever brand I can find on sale and have fun experimenting.

A good pair of runners are PERFECT for casual use. Why? Because for many people, they are comfortable as **** and will last forever, because they will have a ton of low stress miles put on them. I've had some runners for years on end, I can likely count on one hand how many times I've actually run in them, but they get rocked often. For most people, it makes more sense to wear runners casually, compared to a pair of basketball shoes.

It's impossible to build a market for these shoes that center around serious runners, there aren't nearly enough of those people out there. That's why these shoe companies have started advertising these shoes to the general market. It's nothing new, the original Air Maxes were designed for serious runners, they realized that people liked how they looked and advertised accordingly.

In regards to the newest drop, I like them(Outside of the orange), but I am a bit disappointed that they moved away from the boosts, which are far and away my favorite Adidas silhouette. They are comfortable, light and go well with my preferred style. That said, I also understand that style is becoming passe, and Adidas is moving towards what the consumer wants.

If someone wants to walk around in a $160 high performance lightweight shoe or the year then go ahead. I run in my expensive runners only. There's tons of inexpensive runners that are planty soft for walking and look great. In fact trail runners do that job better IMO. I just got a pair of New Balance 410 V9 for $30 mostly to use for work. Insane kicks for the money actually. This saves my New Balance Hierro's for doing the job they were designed for. I just don't see the wisdom of blowing money for no reason.

But hey do what you want.

Couldn’t agree more about runners being good for casual use, especially if you walk around a lot. The technology in running shoes has become so advanced, and the market segmentation on these shoes is broad enough, that you can find a pair of running shoes that will work as a daily trainer and as a casual shoe for walking around and shopping or doing whatever.

No you wouldn’t wear your race day shoes as a casual shoe because the geometry and the way they are constructed don’t lend themselves necessarily to a walking around shoe, but any of the myriad of daily trainers from all the major companies can be used as comfortable walking around shoes, and if you have problems with pronation or stability, you get one of the stability versions. As far as Jordan’s or AF1s or others, mainly basketball shoes, these are the least comfortable. Not gonna lie, I have a few Jordans myself, I find them to be the least comfortable if I have a long day walking around.

Considering how long the runners last, if you aren't wearing them to run in, it's not a bad investment. Never mind the fact that it's a rarity for anyone to pay full retail for sneakers at this point(Unless you are a hypebeast and have to have things immediately). If you are hip to the game, you can grab these shoes at a significant discount, and all you have to do is wait a couple of months for the hype to die down.

No doubt. Never ever pay full retail, been saying that part.

Again, just a messenger. Since we’re talking about “running” all of a sudden. Don’t know these ppl, yet they keep popping up on reviews.

U r exactly correct; the high stack, while great for racers & elite runners, the drawbacks have been a lack of stability & unprompted sprains.

The Vomero has been a better overall shoe in everyday comfort + stability, it’s just not a great race shoe unless you buy the ultra expensive premium version (which is not race legally, ironically).

However, both NB & Nike proved to be the more comfortable, everyday shoe.

Fasho bro. Elite runners are doing all the extra work to strengthen their stabilizing muscles and probably don't need as secure of a platform as the average consumer. I’ve tried walking in my vomeros but i get a lot of hot spots that flare up. Idk what it is cause i wanted to like it and still rotate them in for runs. Might try out the Structure lineup the next time i get a Nike shoe.

Yeah, the first thing that I noticed about the first adidas EVOs from last year are that they are GREAT at the sole and incredibly weak in the uppers. As in weak material. They are great walking shoes, but I'm not so sure about running in them, as I tend to be an ankle-turner. Maybe the high stack will help with that, but I'm concerned with the thinness and weakness of the uppers.

Was definitely thinking of getting those Dropsets for comparative purposes.
I hear you on the upper material. I stopped wearing on running shoes cause i was having problems with the uppers on every shoe i wore. I’ve found that max stack height + softer, cushy, foams and thin uppers aren’t a good fit for me and my running style. Not to sound like a salesman but i found a great fit with foam firmness, upper material , and lacing in the mount to coast lineup R1 and i built my quiver around that. Still looking for a walking shoe that i liked as much as the original asics glideride. I wish i had grabbed 3-4 pairs.
