MEGA New Miami Adidas Ultraboost🔥 - The Shoe and Nike/Adidas Thread.

If someone wants to walk around in a $160 high performance lightweight shoe or the year then go ahead. I run in my expensive runners only. There's tons of inexpensive runners that are planty soft for walking and look great. In fact trail runners do that job better IMO. I just got a pair of New Balance 410 V9 for $30 mostly to use for work. Insane kicks for the money actually. This saves my New Balance Hierro's for doing the job they were designed for. I just don't see the wisdom of blowing money for no reason.

But hey do what you want.

Considering how long the runners last, if you aren't wearing them to run in, it's not a bad investment. Never mind the fact that it's a rarity for anyone to pay full retail for sneakers at this point(Unless you are a hypebeast and have to have things immediately). If you are hip to the game, you can grab these shoes at a significant discount, and all you have to do is wait a couple of months for the hype to die down.

No doubt. Never ever pay full retail, been saying that part.

Again, just a messenger. Since we’re talking about “running” all of a sudden. Don’t know these ppl, yet they keep popping up on reviews.

U r exactly correct; the high stack, while great for racers & elite runners, the drawbacks have been a lack of stability & unprompted sprains.

The Vomero has been a better overall shoe in everyday comfort + stability, it’s just not a great race shoe unless you buy the ultra expensive premium version (which is not race legally, ironically).

However, both NB & Nike proved to be the more comfortable, everyday shoe.

Fasho bro. Elite runners are doing all the extra work to strengthen their stabilizing muscles and probably don't need as secure of a platform as the average consumer. I’ve tried walking in my vomeros but i get a lot of hot spots that flare up. Idk what it is cause i wanted to like it and still rotate them in for runs. Might try out the Structure lineup the next time i get a Nike shoe.

Yeah, the first thing that I noticed about the first adidas EVOs from last year are that they are GREAT at the sole and incredibly weak in the uppers. As in weak material. They are great walking shoes, but I'm not so sure about running in them, as I tend to be an ankle-turner. Maybe the high stack will help with that, but I'm concerned with the thinness and weakness of the uppers.

Was definitely thinking of getting those Dropsets for comparative purposes.
I hear you on the upper material. I stopped wearing on running shoes cause i was having problems with the uppers on every shoe i wore. I’ve found that max stack height + softer, cushy, foams and thin uppers aren’t a good fit for me and my running style. Not to sound like a salesman but i found a great fit with foam firmness, upper material , and lacing in the mount to coast lineup R1 and i built my quiver around that. Still looking for a walking shoe that i liked as much as the original asics glideride. I wish i had grabbed 3-4 pairs.

No kidding about the Mount to coast. I don’t have that particular one, but I do have the H1, and that’s turned out really well for me. Not sure if the bifurcated lacing makes any difference or not, I mean, it hasn’t made a difference positive or negative for me, might just be a gimmick, but overall, this is a versatile shoe that you can take off road.

I've been eyeing the H1s! Good to see your feedback on them. I tried them on the treadmill at a local store but they didn't have my size. I like the hybrid functionality of them with the lugs. Yeah, I leave the toe box section completely loose and just keep the ankle secured with the dual lacing system. It feels like more of a useful feature on my 10+mile runs cause that's when my feet will swell more.

To me, it has a pretty generous toebox to begin with, haven’t tried loosening the bottom ones, but I might on a longer run. On these particular shoes, the most I’ve run in these is about six or 7 miles, but those are usually mixed runs some road and some off-road or trail. Not that it makes any difference but also the brown tan colorway, I think is pretty sharp. Of course mine are pretty dirty right now.

I run in my SL quite a bit don’t have stability issues. I will say they’re not for walking though. And people running everyday in carbon fiber plates is probably why your muscles/achilles hurt.
I might get a pair eventually but the outsole worries me. I’m 200 pounds so seems like the outsole would be worn down after 150 miles.

I do wish Adidas would drop better colorways. I wanna get the dropset pro but all the cw’s are meh. I’ll just end up getting the basic black/white

Jordan Brand is dying. Overpriced and it's customers are aging out. Same thing with Harley Davidson losing the next generation. But yeah Nike and Jordan understand the culture. Wearing Nike doesn't make your **** enlarge. Objectively Nike is still #1 as he said but at this rate it won't be for long.

I'm just the messenger.

I'll add if Jordan is desperate perhaps Miami can charge a ransom for a deal.

I float between 190-195 I workout and run. And seemingly don’t have issues in them.
