MEGA New Miami Adidas Ultraboost🔥 - The Shoe and Nike/Adidas Thread.

The funny thing about dismissing Nike share price and overall stock collapse is I’m pretty sure when it recovered last yr yall were on here talking about it and how that was proof Nike recovered with their new direction and was back on top. Now that it has colllapsed and has shown no signs of recovering anytime soon, it’s irrelevant…

Also let’s not act like people are so dumb they don’t understand stock splits and how market cap is important lmao…

Dopey, as per usual.

Is it a good indicator of market confidence about what the new CEO is doing to turn things around? Sure.

Does it mean that Nike can quickly reverse the decline they've experienced in China? No.

Is it important TO THE MIAMI APPAREL CONTRACT? **** no.

Brother, it’s weird you’re so willing to die on this hill when a simple Google search proves you’re wrong. @TheOriginalCane continues to lay out how the administration asked Nike for nontraditional wacky ****. Not to mention Miami’s WvsL on the field was mediocre at best. Why would Nike treat us above the rest? I’ll take @Rellyrell ‘s facts over your anecdotal thoughts any day. Even if all these other companies are seeing sales increases. Nike is still bigger than all of them combined.

And why are we even discussing running shoes when it comes to Miami’s apparel deal? Are you that concerned with Miami’s long distance runners? Otherwise I want Miami to have the highest quality, best performing, best looking equipment in the country. That is still far and away the Nike product. Now if they lowball us and Adidas comes in with the better deal like @TheOriginalCane is seeking, then so be it.

Just weird you keep getting on that hill and getting killed over and over like a **** cat with 9 lives.

Ppl rather be right, while loud & wrong, vs. admitting it’s their bad.
Excuse me? I've literally just been posting facts. Verifiable data that anybody in a couple seconds can look up. I don't work for any of these companies I have no brand loyalty to any of these companies. The only problem I have with Nike is how terrible job they did with our uniforms back in the day. Regarding apparel I don't typically wear Nike nor any athletic apparel other than running shoes. The Sunshine pumping in this thread was just a little bit too much, I had to bring it back to reality. Nike isn't all that and it is in fact a struggling company that is losing market share to a bunch of competitors right now and it's getting it's **** kicked. I watched a video a couple weeks ago about how Nike is struggling I found it interesting and reading this thread definitely didn't match. 7 straight quarters of dropping sales. You can say that loud or you can say that quiet or you can say that with a smile or you can say that with a frown. Does not change the reality of what's happening with this company.

My opinion is the uniforms sucked. The rest are facts and data.

If it’s not important to the Miami apparel contract, don’t use its recovery as a positive in discussions is my point.

Who did? You're going from "your memory". As per usual, you only cut-and-paste your own quotes, and very selectively.

Again, if someone posts a bad Nike jersey, I post a bad adidas jersey. It goes back and forth.

But you yapping about people who might have pointed to Nike's stock price increase, after other posters were using the decline as a premature obituary, is just ridiculous.

Clearly...CLEARLY...you have not worked in a large corporation. OBVIOUSLY.

Not for long. Nike is getting crushed by not 1 but more like 5 brands. Never once did I say Nike still doesn't have the majority of the casual running shoe market, aka fat moms and dads. They are however getting decimated in the real performance runner market. IMO that will also slowly effect the moms and dads in the casual running market aka folks that just walk around in running shoes.
Nike is getting “decimated in the real performance running market”? So like elites/pros that aren’t paid? You can just watch diamond league and marathon majors to see that’s not true. There’s literally ZERO non-sponsored elites or even fringe-sponsored elites wearing Hoka’s super-spikes in Diamond League and ZERO non-sponsored elites fringe wearing Hokas in marathon majors. So unless they are getting paid real cash money, they are not wearing Hokas.

Most fans and athletes (especially football) prefer Nike. These are facts.

I personally prefer Nike because the fan gear is significantly better and I believe it helps football recruiting.

Regardless, I imagine the school is going to take the more lucrative deal at the end of the day (as they should).

Not that complicated.

If we stay with Adidas that's fine just tell them to stick to the classic uniforms of the last few years and not that BS they had us wearing in 2015.

This.

Fan gear by Nike/JB is way better but at the end of the day if the money makes the difference so be it.

We got folks talking about stock prices in here to try and prove a point

Congratulations on being saved by sponsoring athletes. This hasn't seemed to help Nike in the last few years. We are talking about real world sales to customers not sponsored athletes.

Congratulations on being saved by sponsoring athletes. Meanwhile other brands are selling more shoes without paying said professional athletes.
Uh except it’s the exact opposite. If they’re not sponsored there’s a 95% chance they are wearing Dragonflys on the track. If there not sponsored in majors there’s an 85% chance they are wearing Nike or Adidas with a 10% chance they’re wearing ASICS. And after that it’s going to be On, Puma, or New Balance

Hoka is a hobbyjogger brand. They are venturing into performance but no Elite or fringe elite is wearing their shoe unless sponsored.

Again we are taking here about consumers and sales. According to this logic everything is fine at Nike and there's no problems. So why are they not selling shoes as quickly as their competitors and have seven consecutive negative sales quarters? The argument isn't nobody is wearing Nike, as it's absurd. They are losing market share. I know nothing about track athletes nor what they are wearing. Perhaps Nike is doing well in that category.

Your entire argument (not even sure what you are trying to say anymore) seems to rely on the idea that because brands like Hoka and OnCloud have more sales, they are a better product.

U’ve been posting emotions. Facts is what I did, u know an actual financial article debunking ur notion. U know, the history of the super race shoe. I literally gave u a clear & defined step by step of how Nike got to where they r, where they’re headed, & the timeline, & ur goofy *** is still doing what exactly?

But I’m glad u finally admitted u have issues w Nike; u could’ve saved a lot of unnecessary back & forth.

Nope not at all. I know for sure Nike makes or has made excellent products that I've used. Also I don't like On Cloud shoes, that's just my opinion. The data says that company is killing it.

At this point it's just kinda amusing to see the Nike sunshine pumpers grasping at straws trying to deny the brand is struggling. Not long ago they were acting like we had to go back to Nike because its some kind of mystical amazing brand we should all be honored to wear. Especially rellyrell who seems unable admit the obvious and seemed really excited to prove Nike running shoes were doing great. He said he had proof too. Still waiting.

I don't care about any of these brands.

I see absolutely no proof except some strange brand loyalty. Meanwhile I've posted data again and again and again and again and again and again showing Nike is getting hammered. How many more times do you need to see the data?

Nike is losing sales, it's dropping it's sales forecast, it's on a terrible streak, it's losing massive chunks of its core running shoe market share. Nike has not kept up and the brand is struggling.

The dumbest thing you posted was that DTC was good for Nike. Nike literally fired the CEO because of it. What are you even talking about? I was exactly accurate in my original post when I described how stupid it was and how he had to be replaced. I was exactly accurate when I posted how they lost market share due to Nike ******** over the shops. Meanwhile Hoka now has 25%-50% (I've seen both data sets) market share from the shops. Hoka stepped in and stole that business. This was a huge self own. But hey Nike is like a god or something to you and is perfect in every way.

As has been explained previously, the majority of this "not selling shoes as quickly" and "seven consecutive negative sales quarters" is due to Jiiiina. And we've all acknowledged those issues.

Has Nike had "seven consecutive negative sales quarters" in collegiate merchandise? Or NFL merchandise? Doubtful.

I get it, Nike has work to do on the shoe side. Not as far as "quality" goes (though I really can't speak to the running shoe market), but they need to make more profit on shoes generally.

I just think the Swoosh funeral is premature.
