UA must be getting ready to go under or something, they are hemorraghing schools from a stable that wasn't super deep to begin with. Auburn has NEVER been with Nike in a full apparel deal(They were one of the last Russell Athletic schools) and then they switched over to UA after that. Hawaii is returning to Nike, but considering where they are as an athletic department, I'm willing to bet that Nike got them for practically nothing.

Hawaii hasn’t been w/ Under Armour in some time. They were w Adidas in an all apparel deal. Nike stepped in for the same deal, however, Hawaii will be saving $3m/year compared to their previous Adidas deal. Adidas chose not to match.

Adidas(Or in some cases Nike or Under Armour) are paying for the social media reach. The Cavinder Twins were signed to UA, despite wearing Adidas gear every game day. The primary athletic suppliers don't really care, because when the athlete is on TV, in uniform or at team events, they are wearing their product. We are starting to see the same kind of piecemeal deals that are extremely common in baseball. MLB players regularly wear gear from different manufacturers, because people have realized that it's about the money and in order to maximize your bag, you may have to mix it up a bit.

We can start to have open negotiations in January 2026. Whether that results in us ending the deal one year early is still to be determined. Many schools have gone that route in recent years.

Tennesee won championships rocking adidas. And they were probably a high priority for adidas for a while. Call me crazy, but maybe THIS is why adidas started looking for hotter chicks:

The reality is that adidas took its Tennessee love and money and tried to convince another school that wears orange and white that THEY WERE THE NEW FLAGSHIIP ADIDAS SCHOOL. And those fake promises haven't been fulfilled.

Nobody has said "stupid" or "smart". We have pointed out that quite a few schools have had similar unfulfilled promises from adidas. To demonstrate that our experiences are not unique.

If a school really likes adidas, good for them. Go for it. Seems to work for Louisville too.

But Miami is a Nike School. As Alonzo Highsmith has said and nearly every UM football alum agrees. Regular alums too.

Yes, @Rellyrell can give you an exhaustive history of the factors surrounding every school's change of apparel brand. That is not about "smart" or "stupid", he is just pointing out that Miami's bad experiences are not exclusive to Miami.

I mean I'm acting like we have been with Adidas for 10 years, and have 2 years left, and if we sign a pretty normal 8 year extension, which for as much as everyone on here wants to move to Nike, seems very much in the realm of possible to even likely, then we would be at a total of 20 years. So I'm not saying anything insane or nonsense. This is entirely possible, and the fact you act like its completely out of the realm of possibility is strange. I mean even if you want to say Switching to Nike is 60%, Staying with Adidas is 35%, and Going to Jordan is 5%... well 35% is still pretty high probability...

What I'll do is just wait and see what happens, and if we end up sticking with Adidas I'll take it to mean that most of the *****ing the last 2 years has been nothing more than that, and the the school is quite happy with the arrangement and/or Adidas is offering a better deal than Nike.... or maybe Nike doesn't value us as much as yall wanna think.... Or what will happen is we do end up switching to Nike. And the only thing I'll care about is that they don't **** up our uniform design, which I currently think are very good. ... But in the meantime as long as EVERY SINGLE TIME a school switches TO Nike yall be posting about "see, look whats happening" type ****. but then the minute a big brand switches AWAY from Nike yall get all up in arms about someone pointing it out lol. 2. This evaluation they gave to UTenn is other worldly. Give it 5 yrs, & Adidas will have buyers remorse

3. Nike is looking to flip another SEC program. UTenn attempted to negotiate, but that $$ amount was way too steep. UTenn wanted Bama, OSU, Texas $$, w/o their results. Smart move for UTenn.

But all these same statements NEVER could have been said about our deal with Adidas when we signed it, right?! lol. Surely Adidas isn't doing an entirely "front-end" contract with high guarantees, and thus the total value of the contract was more from Adidas than Nike, right? hmmmm... I'm seeing possible parallels here. Wonder what the UTenn contract length will be. If its 8 years, it's likely to be an excellent deal and one that we should be hoping for in a possible extension...
