Honestly facts. I don’t like being that guy who says people should “do this” or “do that” with their money, but he uses the Canes as part of his own brand a lot.Is The Rock mad we destroyed his locker room in half a day lol

Maybe he does it in the shadows which in that case never mind, but seems like he could contribute a bit more considering how often he name drops or uses the logo in his content.
Uniform brand whores and locker room whores unite!Say it louder for the people who don’t believe it lol. Time to step in to the future, can’t rely just on the past anymore
I took a tour at a similar time. While the locker was new, it lacked any wow factor that you would see across the country even in the year 2016/2017. Taking the tour, it reminded me of Miami not wanting to get too far away from its past… almost like taking so long to ditch the pro style. Given the year the locker room was completed it should have been a **** of a lot more futuristic than it was. This was needed and can’t wait to see how it looksThe current locker room was just completed about 2016 or 2017. I was given a private tour just before it opened to the team. It’s not bad at all, but I have to believe the new one will be as good as any school’s, given the support they now have.
the lockers themselves and the carpet scream 2001.I took a tour at a similar time. While the locker was new, it lacked any wow factor that you would see across the country even in the year 2016/2017. He’s one of the most recognizable human brands in the world right now. If Miami was paying him to advertise by mentioning UM and dropping their logo, it would cost them multiple millions of dollars.Honestly facts. He donates to Miami every time he references us publicly. Companies shell out millions in advertising dollars to have lesser people do fewer mentions with far less passion.
Yes. I'm tired of people always trying to spend Dewey's money. Plus, half of that locker room contribution came from Dany.
I get the sense Dany is a bigger fan of UM than her ex
I wonder if when the new football building is built that they will turn the current coaches offices and meeting rooms into some weight rooms? They are about 165'x36' and look roughly the size of the weight room in width. So an upper floor addition would add ~6,000 square feet. For reference Alabama's weight room is something like 37,000 square feet but also have offices and what not.I'm not sure if you would call it "new". There's definitely going to be some expansion and new integration into the rest of the building as it is built. Eventually, the weight room is supposed to "look out" into the IPF.

Not disagreeing with anything about his brand. He’s one of the most recognizable human brands in the world right now. If Miami was paying him to advertise by mentioning UM and dropping their logo, it would cost them multiple millions of dollars.

But it’d also be silly to not to recognize it’s at least symbiotic and he is a recognizable brand because he gets associated with historic UM teams.
There is a reason he knew Ballers would be a good premise for a show, and a reason he has episodes in his cringy auto-biographical sitcom dedicated to this school. It fortifies his image.
And yes, companies “shell out millions in advertising dollars to have lesser people do fewer mentions with far less passion” because there was no prior relationship. Not the same situations there.
Exactly, he lived the football player lifestyle - at the U. People associate him with Miami football.Could also be because he lived it. You know the saying, "write what you know".
That locker room is slightly larger than a janitor's closet. If we're going to compete with other schools we'll need them to pave over the soccer field and build that sprawling new facility.
It's Gino Torretta, he won the Heisman in 92, and a national championship in 89 and 91.Is that Dan Marino (0:42)
Exactly why I explain to these dudes saying our last locker rooms were ****** and outdated they don't know what they were speaking on.Can’t wait to see the new facilities
