New Calvin Ridley Article on Rivals

It really doesn't matter. Our recruiting success will depend on how we perform on the field. If we end up having a mediocre or bad season and don't continue to demonstrate an 'upward trend', we will struggle recruiting. We actually may be looking for a new head coach. If we have a grat season (10+ wins), we should get our fair share of targets in the area. end of story.

We will not fire Golden unless he goes like 3-9 and has multiple kids arrested and punches Shalala's grandson. Golden is the Miami White Knight that led us through the cloud. If we have a bad season (4-8/5-7 bad, not like 7-5 bad) then he will probably be asked to restructure his staff 'a little.' Then he will have another two or three years to show our admin he can win. If he leaves early, he's like guy that steered the ship through the storm. If we fire him, we have no loyalty to the man that saved our program from the NCAA. Lose/lose

who da fug cares...gonna be the cause of many grown men crying and this board melting down.

LOL at those that thought he was a cane lock and that are surprised by this news.

Agree with this. It would have been unbelievably unrealistic to think that TWO 5* prospects would commit at this point in the game. **** even if they did, most on here wouldnt feel too good about hangin on to them for an entire year.

For all we know, the kids friends or parents told them to wait until they see what we do on the field before jumping on the ship. If im a dad of a big time recruit, as much as I love UM, Im telling my son not to commit until we see what goes on with the season. Im not buying the fact that Golden can go 6-6 this year, including getting blown out again by FSU AT HOME, and still be in good standing. Randy thought the same thing after the USF game and he didnt even make it to the team buses.

SBB, Ridley, JJ, and Irvin are ours to lose IMO. We have a good season and we will get them. I dont think anybody thought this way about Lane or Cook at any point this time last year. JMO.

stop Getting mad it is February, I would rather him commit Later then early because usually our earlier commits dont stick. Quit Complaining

Seen this movie before.

Miami fans and leans the whole life. SEC comes knocking senior year and gone.

Genron is going to be the excuse for everything now. Win games and change the joke-like perception of this program in the community, and the entire demeanor of the recruits and the local community will change. Unfortunately, UM is a joke in the community right now mainly because of that historically pathetic defense we've been fielding.

Meh.

If they keep on saying that Miami is front, they aren't gonna get as much attention. They want attention. Pretty **** simple.

Are they gonna sign here? Who knows, but they're just looking for a little more attention at this point.

I know SBB loves Miami but i think Ridley may be thinking things over. I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt play together at the next level. i think if we beat or at least compete with FSU Ridley will be convinced.
