Neuheisel on Miami administration: "They should be ashamed"

The new stadium once completed next year will bring people out to the games combined with UM putting on good football performances again.

An for those that haven't made it down yet here is a POV from a canes fan who posted online.

They need to slurp Beckham and get that **** together. Do something for once. They rather sit and collect checks. More banners need to be flown, not just for El Foldo

In 2001, you think the stands were full when UM played Rutgers? Or Troy State?

**** ******* no. Winning maximizes attendance, but every Canes' game won't be like a Mich. or UTenn. It just won't. Too many things to do on a Saturday in Miami.

Point is, the program needs to put an emphasis on winning again. Then the fans will come (certainly more than they do now)

We have recruited better than anyone in our conference not named FSU. We have more NFL players than anyone in our conference. I wish people would stop saying our issue is recruiting......The issue is we haven't hired a great coach in 20 years. More than enough talent and recruits on our teams the last few years to win the ACC.

This!!! For every ill that plagues UM football, this is the answer.

LOL at Neuweasel criticizing anybody else. Did UFlop have a full stadium last weekend? The guy hasn't had a job for how long? What does he know about UM? Does he sit around & read negative message boards every day? Maybe he ought to go to a game before shooting off his mouth.
LETS GO CANES!:youre_nuts:

Former Washington coach Rick Neuheisel took a giant verbal s*** on Miami's administration on his SiriusXM College Sports Nation radio show today. Always nice to hear this admin's mind-blowing incompetence and apathy towards such an historic football program being blasted so candidly in the media.

On Miami having to play at Sun Life:

“The problem for Miami football is when you put the camera on the stands, and you see 15, 16, 17,000 people in a stadium that’s built for 70. It looks bad. It just looks terrible. Unfortunately, the head coach, Al Golden, is being blamed for all of it. Now, he may have made some of his own problems, in terms of alienating some fans and former players, but the bottom line here is, somehow, the administration at Miami has to figure out a place to play, where the students and the fans can all have fun together and celebrate the great game of college football in a 40,000, 50,000-seat stadium that looks like college.

“That doesn’t look like anything. That is a square peg in a round hole. It doesn’t look good if you’re a recruit going to the games. There’s nothing about that that says, ‘God, I can’t wait to play here.’ That has to change. Until it changes, Miami is going to suffer.

Until the administration and the leadership of the University of Miami figure out, ‘This is a sham. We oughta be ashamed of ourselves for sending our team 40 miles down the road to play, where our students won’t go.’ When the camera turns on Miami football, it looks like fans have dressed as seats to come to games. It’s gotta get fixed.”

Neuheisel's brief comment about Golden shouldn't come as a surprise, as you wouldn't expect a former college coach to bash a current one in a radio gig. But his comment about how Golden has created his own problems was a nice, deserved shot.

On Miami's current state of irrelevance in the college football landscape:

Just like we said college football is better when Michigan is good, when Notre Dame is good, college football is better when Miami is good. It just is. I know they’re flamboyant, and some folks get put off by it, but the facts are that Miami and the brand of college football they played was special, and they need a place to play where people are going to go and get excited. This is an embarrassment to the brand and to all those guys built, the Ray Lewises, Ed Reeds, Michael Irvins.

Rick Neuheisel blasts Miami administration: 'They should be ashamed'

Its now confirmed, Neuheisel is an idiot.

Rick Neuheisel blasts Miami administration: 'They should be ashamed'

The problem with Miami fans is they are in denial. After this entire interview about the administration the one thing that they hear is it Golden's fault. This administration is also going to be the one who hires the next coach but nothing will change. Also the Dolphins fill that stadium up enough and the Dolphins have sucked for years. They don't win and their coach is awful. Go figure.

I wish people would stop saying our issue is recruiting......The issue is we haven't hired a great coach in 20 years. More than enough talent and recruits on our teams the last few years to win the ACC.

1. Clemson has out recruited us in the last few years.
2. We aren't just competing against our conference when it comes to recruiting. We are recruiting against everybody that goes to South Florida to hand pick talent.

Can the mods limit Paranos' video posting capabilities to something like no more than 100 per week or something? The need for propaganda videos of the "new" stadium reposted for the 400th time is about equivalent to the need to hear some recruit give meaningless platitudes to Cristobal after getting some attention from Bama.

Tell that ****head that the stands were empty in 2001 as well

anyone that takes a nasty shot at the UM administration is a hero, not a ****head

We had a chance to own our own stadium at the site of the old orange bowl. The admin ****ed that up, just like they **** up everything. They're a bunch of clowns.

Pure BS and revisionist history.

The revisionist is you my friend. AT BEST Donna didn't want to be bothered with the task of staying there under the hilarious guise of not wanting to burden the tax payers of Miami-Dade with funding the renovations.

Miami leaving Orange Bowl, will play in Dolphin Stadium

Put a team on the field that takes no prisoners and want to score another touchdown up 48-0 with 2 minutes left in the game; then you will have fans filling a stadium. The reason for attendance is not the stadium or location, it's the pussification of the football team by a weak minded head coach. The players are suffering, the assistant coaches are suffering and the fans are suffering from the Al Golden BS. Put Baylor, TCU and Oregon in JRS and you'll have a packed house every game.

The sad thing once we joined the ACC we was guranteed a check so Shalala and her bots used the money else where. We had to win in order to make money in the big east.

the orange bowl looked better half empty but make no mistake about it our attendance hasn't really changed much in 20 years. the thing is we have been pretty average as opposed to dominant. that is making a bad situation worse from an attendance standpoint. but I agree with one of the posts...we still have recruited better than everyone in the conference except FSU so there is no excuse for the below average results right now.
