Negotiated Buyout

That's $20M of salary.

It may not be. Both sides were "happy" with each other at the time. Perry Clark and Golden burned UM. There is a high relative likelihood that the buyout is 1-2 years of salary.

Another 7-6 season and Richt is not emerging on the sidelines during 2020.

Telling ya guys, put enough pressure on him, he'll fold for 60 cents on the dollar. Remember what happened at Tennessee ? That's the kind o thing that will get results

unless Flake gets canned too it won't make a bit of difference because he will just go and hire another clown to lead this program. The guy has no clue what he's doing so firing one without the other will just result in another buyout 2-3 years down the road.
He'll probably leave before Richt's contract expires. It will be somebody else's problem. The way it always is with these fly-by-night types. ***** up a place, end up on probation, and you're long gone before that happens.

Blake should be negotiating a reasonable buyout vs. offensive coordinator/ assistant coach restructuring as we speak. []__[] can't go forward without a resolution one way or another and, if it's in the best interest of the program, Richt has to consider doing the right thing for his alma mater; he was already 'blessed' with a contract extension from UGA on the way out the door and there's no need to leave []__[] on bad terms. It would be great to have him involved with community outreach and player-development moving forward, but he may have played his best hand at Miami.

I remember hearing from a guy who really WAS an insider talking to Paul Dee about buying put Coker. Paul said he was not yet ready to deal with the Coker buyout be sure he had to deal with a more pressing situation. I think that was probably Perry Clark. Once he got that buyout done he'd start to deal with Coker

I was a bit surprised. I had not thought that they were already ready to pull he plug on Coker.

I guess the earlier you fire the more you have to pay. I don't see that a lot of our recent coaches were such prizes that we had to agree to such buyouts.

The Perry buyout was a killer..... They also started construction on the basketball arena prior to completing the fundraising campaign, so they required a $25M loan to complete it. They paid off that loan recently.

I am highly dubious that the BOT would grant another large buyout. Golden should be the last one...... If they guaranteed his contract, then UM has a problem.

I don't even remember where I his guy Blake James came from...stopped paying attention after Kirby Hocutt.

So I do a search for Blake James on duckduckgo, and first couple of hits are "Blake James Nude Pornstar."

Not connected to the U, I assume.

Hence, why Blake James should be fired for such incompetence. A Head Coach, who hasn’t won a National nor ACC title should not have the University of Miami by the balls. ESPECIALLY after the Golden **** show.

Dude got handed the keys for the great job of getting embarassed by Clemson, Jesus. That was all it took, just getting the ticket to being slaughtered by the better team was enough

You do realize they had a board of former players and others involved in hiring Richt don’t you?

Financially the U has done well the last couple of years, but there is no way they would be in a position to pay a 8 figure buyout and Richt would be crazy to leave that on the table and just walk away. We are too financially entangled currently to justify anything like that.

That was my question as well. Richt wasn't being poached, so why extend him?
Because Flake got the squirts after Mork reeled off those 10 wins thinkin he was gonna bounce. When in reality you knew those 10 wins were fools gold, 1 well played game, ND, and the rest were teams we shoulda smoked on a bad day. Flake clearly premature ejaculated and now realizes it, he'll bounce himself just sit back and watch

Which will

Which will cause Flake to bounce and leave us knee deep in his ****, it ain't fair, ***** should be held accountable for his stupidity and not allowed to just walk
