ND Game Next Year

the only reason were in contention is bc of the ND win. the UF win ended up being nothing noteworthy
Nothing noteworthy is kinda bs though isn't it? SEC rah rah bs...We held them to under 150 yards early in the season while they beat the likes of top 15 texas at the time.

Besides UK, while they had no coach, look at the rest of their schedule vs SEC rah rah bs.....

Keep hearing about SEC bias and how we gotta leave the ACC

Just curious what Miami fans think would be our record with that schedule?

Some of you need to get a grip and stop sounding like a bunch of babies. We need Notre Dame, replace them with UCF? That’s the stupidest thing I have heard today. Should we cancel our kickoff game with Utah as well? 😂😂

Remove a top 10 win and replace it with a G5 win, you still think we are getting considered for an at large?
We aren’t getting any credit for beating them this year. I understand what you’re saying but at the same time **** ND and powers that be, putting them in a pedestal and allowing them stay independent with no real penalty.

If ND in fact is in like they look to be and we are left out a scorch earth campaign needs to be done to move the ACC to remove this sweet heart deal

Conferences moving to 9 games and we don’t need to do independents a **** favor giving them credibility

Let them overpay us to choose if we want to pay them

I don’t understand how so many of you have had your brain fragmented into unrecognizable pieces of misery and madness.

The *only* reason we are in the at large conversation is *because* we played ND.

“Be like Indiana”? And what? Win all of your conference games? Agree, we should be like Indiana, we’d easily be in the playoff two years running if we’d done that. ****, we could have lost one game both years and we are in it.

Stop making yourself defend irrational positions because we have lost multiple conference games two years in a row. Get out of the pretzel factory, face reality head on: we are in this position because we lost to two inferior teams, one of them at home. The only reason we hav a chance to still make it is because we played ND.

8-3, maybe 9-2. I actually think we’d matchup better with these teams considering Mario ball is closer to the kind of football the SEC plays. No one is really lighting up the scoreboard with points are they? More of an emphasis on defense and controlling the game/both lines of scrimmage. Plus, we show up in big games with Mario in charge. It’s the one thing he’s done well here.

Texas plays like **** 50% of the time with little Arch being a fraud. We played TAMU 2 years ago and beat them handily despite playing like **** with TvD playing QB. They’re not this perennial powerhouse considering they’ve been able to avoid playing Georgia, Alabama, and the rest of the better SEC teams sorta like how Indiana has done in the BIG. Lots of fired coaches in the ole big bad SEC this year and the season isn’t even over yet,

If/when the committee screws us we should cancel this game.

Add another home game and play UCF.

Will curb stomp them, get credit for a P4 win, and they will pack the stadium making up for the payment to get out of the ND game.

No point in playing OOC heavyweight games any more. Just follow the Indiana model and schedule layups and try to make the conference title game.

We literally got zero benefit from beating ND and UFag other than the satisfaction of beating down a rival and ND has since rubbed it in our faces even though we won.
I did not want to support this post in my heart but my brain says 💯 and that’s the truth so I support it. ND got more credit for losing to us than we got for beating them. There’s no longer a reason to play any tough out of conference games under this system. Spot on, @ssvir. And I don’t even have to alter the gif with your avi since he is your avi 😂

Appreciate the response

To me the good (and maybe bad) with Mario is 2024 and 2025 I think that’s what he brings to the table. Not sure he can do better but also keeps us from going down.

We’ve lost a lot of games we should have won which is the thing that always gives me pause though like some **** where we beat UGA and A&M but lose to Kentucky

But that’s every team really

I’d rather be independent or in the Big 12. ACC refereeing is terrible and it impacts everyone, but it seems to disproportionately impact us negatively more than any other team.

Texas was ahead of us with the same record and they got smacked by UF. Committee didn’t care. They weren’t hounding them for it as a “bad loss.”

It has nothing to do with wins this year. ND doesn’t have a single good one. They’ve only talked about ND’s “good losses.” You could say ND is only in bc they played us.

When someone is low IQ or doesn't have a viable retort they use the "stupidest thing" comment.

Which applies to you .... or do both apply?

Agree and that was my point above. Apparently you can lose to any team in the SEC and still shoot back up the rankings like Texas did and it's not a bad loss. You can annihilate the same SEC team in an OOC game and it's meaningless lol It's just like anything else, the SEC has these folks blind to anything but SEC

I cannot express how much I normally hate people *****ing about the refs. It makes me cringe so much

BUT it’s impossible to deny how ****ed it’s been

I do think it’s bad all over college football and don’t want to get stuck in the Miami vacuum, but it’s really difficult not to take it personally at times

I don’t want to ever say we lose games because of refs because many times it should never be in their hands, but the disproportionate stats are wild

we can't get out of our games with ND but other conferences can

watch the aftermath of SEC, Big12, and Big10 cancel ND games when they get in over us

I mean imagine if A&M didnt get the easiest SEC schedule of all time this year

or if they didnt come back last week and they lost a close game to texas at the end of the year

they beat ND even more "flukey" and would be at risk of ND getting in over them despite head to head

makes no sense for anyone to play ND unless they are in the ACC and contractually have to
