ND Game Next Year

Interesting... ND has their September schedule already booked up, so it looks like we will play them either mid season or late season. Puts an end to our 4 game OOC schedule right out of the bat we've had the past few years

I don’t understand how so many of you have had your brain fragmented into unrecognizable pieces of misery and madness.

The *only* reason we are in the at large conversation is *because* we played ND.

“Be like Indiana”? And what? Win all of your conference games? Agree, we should be like Indiana, we’d easily be in the playoff two years running if we’d done that. ****, we could have lost one game both years and we are in it.

Stop making yourself defend irrational positions because we have lost multiple conference games two years in a row. Get out of the pretzel factory, face reality head on: we are in this position because we lost to two inferior teams, one of them at home. The only reason we hav a chance to still make it is because we played ND.
From Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere to Cancel a game with ND...

There are a lot more fun ways to prove you’re an idiot than what you’re doing right now, baby doll.

One of the teams has two top 15 losses. One of them has two losses to an unranked team at home and a now-barely top 25 team.

Answer the question I posed: if we had a win against a G5 team instead of ND right now, are we getting any at large consideration? There’s your answer on if we should play the game.
But we didn't. We played ND head-to-head and won. It's the first tiebreaker in EVERY major sport. No need for name calling just because you're dealing with someone with a different opinion.

The answer to your question is that we would probably be 15 this week instead of possibly 12. Think we’d behind Utah, Vandy, and Michigan without the ND win.

Some of you are forgetting it’s a Catch-22. Cancel games like Notre Dame and then all we’ll hear is how we played nobody all season.

I do think we need to do like the SEC and Clemson. Make the second to last game a cupcake, maybe two cupcakes. It’s clear the committee values how “good” you look when they start doing their rankings.

The game is part of the ACC-Notre Dame contract. I doubt Miami could cancel even if they wanted to.

Cancelling the game would look like the same bull**** we like to complain about other teams doing.

Get revenge by beating the Irish in their house next season.

Remove a top 10 win and replace it with a G5 win, you still think we are getting considered for an at large?
So basically the same spot we are currently in...Good then.

Whats the bnefit of playing ND..if you have no answer for that...we shouldnt play them.

what top 10 win does nd have or byu?. help me out.

Drop ND...ADD BOISE STATE next year to schedule. and add one of the teams from the new pac 12 conference to fill for that south carolina cancellation.....Im dead serious.

Not arguing you, but both SMU and UL are ranked in the AP

If/when the committee screws us we should cancel this game.

Add another home game and play UCF.

Will curb stomp them, get credit for a P4 win, and they will pack the stadium making up for the payment to get out of the ND game.

No point in playing OOC heavyweight games any more. Just follow the Indiana model and schedule layups and try to make the conference title game.

We literally got zero benefit from beating ND and UFag other than the satisfaction of beating down a rival and ND has since rubbed it in our faces even though we won.
the only reason were in contention is bc of the ND win. the UF win ended up being nothing noteworthy

I’ve learned it doesn’t really matter.

We can win on the field and have bragging rights.

Or we’ll lose but then just claim it didn’t count and we’d for sure win in a rematch.

Either way, we can’t lose!!
