My Post game recap

100%.

We need a Josh Heupel/Mike Norvell/Chad Morris type OC that can transform this Offense.
(And yes I'm fully aware those guys are HC's now, but they were all OC's who built Offenses & cut their teeth up in the booth as X's & O's technicians).

I like Richt as a HC & as a person overall, but his playcalling days are behind him.

I don’t like Richt the HC until he comes to grips with the fact that he sucks at being Richt the OC

Sam Hartman at Wake Forest just went 31/51 387yds & 2TD's in his first ever, JT Daniels was 22/35 286yds & 1TD, Zack Annestad a walk-on at Minnesota went 16-33 220yds & 2TD's, **** even DTR came in during the 2nd half for UCLA after Speight got hurt & went 15-25 for 117yds.

All True Freshman who somehow figured out their playbook lol.

Makes me very concerned about our backups is what it tells me.....

My kid is 6 years old and was looking at number 6. He asked me why is he so bad at defense.

Still no holding calls? They showed this replay so many times last night I thought they were doing it for a laugh.

This whole team is soft, from the HC right on down. Anytime we face a team with some fight, we fold like a cheap suit. Where is the f@ckin passion on this team. I'd kill for a Jerome Brown on Ed Reed type presence in this locker room.

Richt is Mack Brown, A nice guy thats going to win you 9 or more games every year but won't win you a title unless he has a all time great player combined with all the stars aligned

Outstanding comparison. Spot on.

Other than offense, defense, special teams and team smarts/discipline, we good.

The subbing on defense is so annoying. Other than D line, the subs needs to be minimal. Literally no other elite team subs their back 7. The best players have to be on the field for every play in a close game.

Also, Im so sick of all the coaches say the young guys dont know the playbook, they arent consistent, etc. Who out of our starting 22 in consistent? Jaquon, Shaq, willis, maybe a few others? All the other players were making mistakes the freshman would make and they have significantly less talent. Every other major program has freshman starting. What is so complicated about our scheme that freshman cant play?

Dont know what Diaz is teaching these boys about tackling, but its wrong. Whatever it is, its wrong.

I won't even use this as an indictment of the backups. Richt has his head stuck so far up his *** when it comes to sticking with Rosier that none of the backups have a real chance. It takes serious brass to go with a true freshman, something richt clearly doesn't have.

I understand a lot of you will not like it, I'm fine with that, feel free to disagree.

No, I don't think the sky is falling, but got damnit man I'm tired of this sh*t smh.
Not a lot to disagree with in your assessment.

I will say that I’m not an Xs and Os guy, so I’ll defer, but I don’t believe a coach, Searles, who can’t coach an o-line to block effectively in our current scheme would be any better coaching a line for spread O.

LSU made us look completely incompetent with the amount of times they had guys getting into our backfield untouched. I’m totally fine if a guy is just outclassed and gets beat. I am not fine with the amount of times I saw people blocking the wrong guy or nobody at all.

On defense, I’m right there with you. I really like Diaz’s philosophy. Derrick Smith did work at Striker last night. We only really looked bad when we had people on the field who have no business on the field. That has to be addressed.

Special teams is terrible all the way around. Love Hartley, but ****.

Man that guy been in the system what a month? And he still making checks at the LOS, while Rosier stares at the corner about to blitz and does jack ****

That was painful to watch.

The reason why I think we're better off as a Spread Option team is because it puts less stress on the OL to hold blocks for long pass plays, plus the uptempo pace opens up running lanes because Defenses have to sell out to Defend the passing attack over the middle.

Dave Aranda said based on the film they watched on us all offseason leading up to the game is that we have no intermediate passing game, it's either Deep balls or RPO. Based on how we performed offensively, it's safe to say they figured us out, they basically knew every time what we were doing.

Our biggest issue in the run game is blocking, but it's also lack of variety, we run the same run plays in the same sequences over & over, that only works when you have a dominant OL that can bully DL's. We obviously don't, so to supplement that you have to keep the Defense from keying in on your run plays.

What the Lincoln Riley's, Scott Frost', Josh Heupel's, Mike Norvell's, Chad Morris's, Sterlin Gilbert's, etc, do is attack teams with quickly executed plays changing up the sequence every other series so Defenses can't pick up on the patterns. Defenses get caught off guard & get run into a buzzsaw, that's what Cuse did when they upset Clemson, they just hit the ground running 100mph from the first snap & relentlessly attacked Clemson's Defense with pace. They don't have one player on their entire Offense better than any Clem defender.

Yes we definitely need better blocking there's no denying that, but we don't do anything to help them out. The QB, RB's, OL's, TE's & WR's are not being put in the best position to maximize their ability, our deficiencies became more glaring when everything we're doing is telegraphed. We don't have the personnel to line up & stuff down anyone's throat, so the alternative is to use our speed at the skill position keep Defenses off balance, what's the best way to do that? Spread.
