If he needs to hire an offense guy cause he doesn’t do offense, and he needs a defense guy cause he doesn’t do defense, and he isnt a special teams guy, he can’t have the job head coach if he needs to hire a game day situation guy. He is not qualified for this job if literally the only skill in his bag is relentless recruiting.

I literally woke up at 330am to go to the bathroom and I actually thought I had woken up from a dream of this ending. It didnt and now doesnt even feel real. It all happened so fast. What gets me is these coaches are paid so much money to be leaders, to see the supposed big picture, to know things about a sport that us fans dont yet they constantly on all level ***** up simple common sense things

Whether its playing soft on key 3rd or 4th downs, calling plays that make sense or yes, game management we repeatedly see games where these coaches cannot handle high stakes situations

This was just ridiculous, it was simple math and common sense.

All they needed to do was take a knee or even leading up to that take more clock off the game by snapping the ball with 2 seconds left on the play clock and not 10. This game should have ended 2 to 3 play earlier

Yes the refs were brutal, yes every call matters, yes Miami could have ended this game actually after the James Williams INT by going for a TD an dnot running te ball unsuccessfully and playing for a FG but despite all that this was lost by utter stupidity and not just football common sense but everyday rationality.
 
I was a little scared to look at canesinsight today. I haven't gone deep. I can say that I'm absolutely sick about last night ...
But ...
I'm thinking back to my sophomore year. We lost at East Carolina inexplicably. I was watching while drinking in my friends' dorm room in Eaton and getting increasingly agitated until I was too drunk to really care. A year later, we started one of the most dominant college football runs in my lifetime, more than 30 straight wins.
Go ahead and flame me for this.
The season is on the line next week at NC.

We all expected Mario to blow a game because of gameday blunders. But it didn’t need to be a national humiliation.

The UNC game just became the most important game in years. There is a real risk that the team loses trust in Mario after a botch like that. A loss can send the season off the rails. A win gets us back on an upward trajectory.

Salute to all the maniacs who still care after a loss like that. We are the college football version of Job. Hopefully, it will all be worth it one day. See you on Saturday night.

Agreed but recruiting is 75% of the battle I would say

The obvious next iteration is taking a knee with too much time left and turning it over on downs.
 
What I find comical is all the ppl posting how we will get blown out by UNC based on LAST NIGHTS ENDING! Forgot the fact that we held them to 250 yards, and also the fact that unc hasn’t exactly looked like the 2019 lsu team, but the fact that we lost a game bc 1 stupid call somehow has made our team into manny Diaz scrubs!

Miami's offense underperformed by 21 points to a team that lost to Bowling Green.

UNC is very likely going to prison rape our Canes on Saturday because the offense and the ACC referees.

There is no reasonable scenario where our Canes leave Chapel Hill with a W.

Accept it.

This game won’t tear the team apart.

I believe it will probably have the opposite affect. They won’t blame Mario, Dawson, Don, or TVD. They will blame the officiating.

Offenses tend to struggle in bad weather and we aren’t the first to lose a game as heavy favorites in sloppy conditions.

Those refs have woken up a sleeping giant. The team will see this game as being cheated and play the rest of the year with a BIG chip on their shoulder. Just watch. They were bonding before but now it truly is “Us against the World”.

This was the Norte Dame fumble on steroids. We will finish the year just as strongly as that team.

We will beat UNC by at least three touchdowns and finish the season very strongly.

Not gonna happen in my opinion. Seems like he takes no responsibility- is a narcissist- and would rather have his way than rethink things. Has anyone seen any remorse from him since last night? He is gaslighting himself and probably surrounds himself with ‘yes’ men.
