This can't be stressed enough....
Win (no more than 3 losses) AND be a competent/dynamic offensive team, and we land these kinds of studs.

What if Bama wins the SEC and ranked #1 in the country?
Calvin Ridley is not 205.
He's in the 170-180 range. About 6'1".
Burgess-Becker is closer to 200 about 195 and about 6'0"-6'1"
And Cavin is about 6'2" 190-195

Hmmm...tough call on who to believe. Someone who is in the weight room and training him everyday....or geo305. Tough decision, but I'm gonna have to go with option A.

Well if Miami wins as AU says, and wins Coastal it would show south florida recruits they don't have to go thousands of miles to bumpkinville USA to win, and they can stay home and put on.

I don't think the Coastal is enough. I mean, if we win the coastal but then get blasted by FSU what are we really selling in comparison to if Bama wins the SEC and is #1 again? Winning the Coastal but not showing that we can compete with the elite teams puts us right back to where we are now with regards to these elite guys.
SBB and Calvin are long gone, IMO. I just get the vibe that they are kids that want to get out of South FL for college from everything I read. Unfortunate, because they are very talented. But this is still South FL and there are plenty of talented players available, especially next year at WR.
I'd like to know why everyone was saying they were UM locks to start with. **** was so disappointing.
This is actually stressed too much ( the winning part ) . Florida went 4-8 last year including losing to Georgia Southern and still beat us on the recruiting trail....I do agree we need to be more dynamic...but the winning thing is overblownThis can't be stressed enough....

They were reportedly close to committing and then genron told them to hold on. The rest is history.
I'd hate to miss on Ridley. He's another Coley.
I think the thing to keep an eye on in their recruiting is Cristobal. Does he stay another year or does he move on to a head coaching gig.

Genron had nothing to do with their commitment to Bama.

Backdooring into the coastal while sleepwalking through the schedule and getting blasted by good teams won't cut it.
this team has to be markedly improved in every facet and not get blown up or gashed by guys named Connor and Bart. I maintain that as long as we're doing that and we are a competitive team that shows fight and ends up in a 2 (and even 3) loss season, yes, what the Bama's of the world do is mostly irrelevant in terms of landing sofla kids. I'll take that to the bank.
If we put up a stinker of a season while getting gashed on defense and our offense sputters under a first year QB (which are both very likely scenarios), we'll be lucky to get a top 10/15 class.
