Moise 100% with UM, not taking other visits, as Chaminade aims for repeat

Spoke with River Brazil today and he said Willie has a problem with his GPA and it could affect him coming to the U. Still trying to get it straightened out and wants to be a CANE!

If Huff can atleast make it into school and he did **** near a year of virtual home school. This kid at chaminade should easily qualify.

Dumb question but is FL the only state to have so many big time players recruited by Div 1 to be in danger of qualifying. It always seems to come up so I was wondering if it's mainly FL.

The academic situation was so so so much worse in the 80s and 90s. Now with virtual school home school, ability to take a class on line, etc. Its much better. Going to smaller private schools, etc!
There were so many great athletes that never played college ball, I can remember multiple from the Miami High and Southridge High area alone. Kids that could have made it to the pros.

I do not believe that kids should be prevented from playing football due to academics. Academics do not make sense for everyone.

That said, given how easy Florida public high school is, I am blown away by how many non-qualifiers there are year after year.

My impression is that we've had relatively few non-qualifiers since Richt came in. It used to happen regularly before then.

So it looks like Moise does have academic work to do. Rivals spoke to him and his dad and the plan now is to take his OV in January and sign in February. He will be a Summer B enrollee. He said he talks to Stroud every day. He isn't looking around even though he has been contacted by other schools. He is solid to Miami as long as they still plan to bring him in. He will play defense.

Hopefully he makes it in.

like him on D, but given our disastrous OL and bad OL recruiting, was wondering if a move to OL was in his future. Hopefully we find other OL and keep him at DT.

They did the same thing with Cam Williams last year at the same high school. I suspect they have the playbook for getting it done.

If he has to take an academic redshirt, I hope that gives him enough time to experiment on offense. He wants to play defense, but a lot of NFL players got moved from their desired position.

Yep.

If the staff didn’t feel confident about getting him in he’d be dropped by now

Also gives him a full year to recover from surgery
