Yes but terminology aside, Bryant lines up at the weak side DE position right? Isn't that what Jack LB basically amounts to? We run a base 4-2-5 so where is the Jack LB in the alignment? Is the Jack a stand up DE? When we play with a Jack does it look like we are in a 3 man front because the Jack is standing up? Fans would see that alignment and think that we are running a 3-3-5 because the Jack looks like a 3rd LB. Am I getting warm here?

Bringing in a leader to a room that needs more leadership isn’t really an “insane” move. Not fully ok with Wes/Alderman being the lone vets in that room. This guy can at least help set the tone.
