Yes, UCF lost out to FSU... after Rumph lost out to UCF.
I wasnt really a big fan of Brownlee, he had talent, but he was a P.I. waiting to happen. The point is that Rumph wanted him and lost him to UCF. Whats funny is everyone knew Brownlee was looking elsewhere but the staff thought he was solid.
LmaoEVERY year....they are TERRIBLE with reading recruits. Absolutely terrible. They probably have Flowe as a silent currently.
Good point. No joke good point. But the level of hands on coaching between a position coach and a head coach is different. Banda has late round picks starting. A bunch of safeties in his short time here and they all love em. If he was fired tomorrow I wouldn't trip. Not defending Banda just making the point that while he is far from elite he does have some value. Manny isn't going to get elite coaches under him.Golden’s guys s are making plays on Sunday

That’s like Rocky Dennis claiming he’s hotter than John Merrick.Rumph is probably the best coach on the staff.
PreachIt’d be interesting to see the overall racial composition of the group that’s constantly running to Rumph’s rescue and using sorry *** Banda as the comparison to prop up Rumph.
The only time we’ve done a good job covering anyone since Manure and his lame crew of HS yes men have been here has been when we trot seniors out there at Safety.
We didn’t cover anyone this year or a couple years ago either. That includes the entire defensive backfield. Both those guys are below average in totality when looking at all of their responsibilities. It’s ok to think they’re both weak. You don’t have to try to prop up HS Rumph by tearing up The Bandtender.
Potato, pototo on which one of these guys is performing worse.
We can go back and forth on whether or not guys are developing on their watch, but recruiting is the lifeblood of a program and it's even more so at Miami because we reside in the state of elite DBs. Relative to our access to said talent, our ability to sign them has been downright incompetent at best and negligent at worst. I'll say this, hiring Rumph and whiffing on all the talent he personally coached from Pop Warner thru HS is one of the biggest fails in UM recruiting history.
It took me 5 minutes to find Rumph......nooooooo comparisonAgain for all of the morons on this hoe *** forum. There is absolutely no comparison between Rumph & Banda. One is noticeably worse than the other, and that's the bottom line.

is it an indictment of Rumph or of how bad the program is? I’m legit asking. If the kids can see the dumpster fire, loyalty only goes so far...ya know? Again, not sticking up for him, legit asking.
A little chicken and the egg, IMO.
In 2017, we did stumble down the stretch, but there was plenty to sell and we unquestionably underperformed in recruiting, almost exclusively on defense. That's bizarre because it was our D that was making all the highlight reels.
There's also enough depth in DB classes down here that even if we miss on top names, we should be able to salvage a respectable class relative to the ACC, but we don't. We overlook kids or arrive too late after chasing whales. I've heard from reputable HS coaches, even some that post here, that will tell you we're extremely late and lackadaisical trying to stay on kids when we do show interest.
Banda got us a stud in bubba bolden gurvan hall, coached up redwine and jaquan johnson , way more then rumph has doneMan, listen --
I'm all for trashing Rumph's recruiting this cycle. But for the love of God, keep that same energy with Banda who has easily done a worse job recruiting than Rumph has.
good info. And I don’t get it. Laziness? And are so fl kids not loyal? I know where I’m from the pride of being a NYer is large. I can’t imagine turning on my city. But if program is that bad I guess I can’t blame them.![]()
Bandy disapointed me thought he would be an all accwhat about bandy and blades? They're having quality seasons too.
Rumph = LegendAny chance the Cane's will move on from him? He doesn't develop any of our CBs. He rarely puts our CBs in the NFL and when he does they are late draft picks. Our CBs have poor technique and constantly have their back turned when the ball is in the air. He's a poor recruiter tbh... He just lost a recruiting battle to UCF and the only CB we have in this class is Marcus Clark who is converting from WR. It wouldn't effect our class if we moved on from him. It might be the perfect time in my opinion
According to the (obtuse) metric on the site you posted, Rumph outrecruited Banda in 2019, 2017, 2016, and had a higher recruit average in 2018.Again for all of the morons on this hoe *** forum. There is absolutely no comparison between Rumph & Banda. One is noticeably worse than the other, and that's the bottom line.
