Michael Irvin on his nephew committing to UT

Michael Irvin has a significantly greater public footprint than P-Buch or Gonzo. He's got a career on NFLN to worry about. Expecting him to go ham on Golden simply isn't realistic, and calling him out for thus is pretty narrow-minded.

Its pretty narrow minded to think there would be repercussions for Tweeting "My kin will never play for Al Golden," which is all it would've took for him to do his part

Except he doesn't feel that way, and in fact while he could have been completely silent on the issue, he chose to actively point out how the rabid, ridiculous behavior of the fans and some media has a negative effect.

All Golden had to do was go 8-5 with a nice roster and he'd be getting plenty of recruits right now.

lol @ always blaming the fans for recruiting misses. Fvck this program. Thank God Billy Corben exposed Shalala.

Corben exposed her. It's our job to humiliate her

And LMFAO at the excuse machine warming up.

The only thing worse than the CLOUD. The CROWD

You fcktards blaming fans realize you're providing this con artist with another excuse?

The reason recruits are running away is 6-7 in year 4.
Earth to the idiot Golden slurpers destroying the program!
That's the same reason the fans are running away and are ****ed off.

I'm astonished at just how deeply stupid people really are. Do these idiots ever even try to use their atrophied brains?

Blaming fans for recruiting? I don't remember anyone conjuring up that excuse for the black man. Nope. Randy was just a lazy black guy who abdicated his duties in recruiting his final season.

Now, all of a sudden, it's the fans' job to recruit for UM and to act like we're happy with the fat slobs ruining the program in order to try to trick some 17 year old kids into wasting their careers being corched by this idiot.

Do the brain dead twits blaming the fans realize UM holds the keys to fixing this impending recruiting nightmare? All they have to do is fire the obvious incompetent and make a great hire. Like perhaps the guy responsible for assembling the greatest collection of talent ever seen in college football?
No its not the fans job to recruit. .. but fans can help...by not harming..meaning if the fans demonize the staff so bad (believe you me...i understand your reasoning...the betterment of the program) but if you demonize him so bad...why would we allow are kids to go into the service for satan...we send our kids else where...now who's hurts??? Coaches still get paid..ACC keeps sending that check...the fans get hurt...Franchise you guys have more power than you realize...when i first came on this site the passion and loved received made me extremely happy with Shaq's choice...but i soon saw that passion in the hate displayed... i bet no one here wants to see Miami win as bad as me...I told Shaq if he went somewhere else and played UM i would cheer for him but would want the Canes to win... I pray that my influence doesn't send my child into a toxic vat... I do not allow Shaq on this site. . I'm thinking maybe I should...cause it is ultimately his decision and should be afforded the whole truth.

You're a smart dude, and I appreciate your love for UM. For those reasons, I wish you nothing but the best no matter where your son winds up.

For purely selfish reasons, I'd love to see him here at my alma mater and to be coached by a new competent staff. If anyone could guarantee me Folden would be gone next month if I shut up, then I'd shut up immediately.

Trust me when I tell you that the intense anti-Folden passion you are witnessing now has nothing to do with the players. That hardcore passion will be expended positively toward your son the minute UM fixes this abortion they created.

Anyone sending their child to play football for Miami under the current regime does not have their child's best interests at heart. Unless they are only coming for the degree, and even then it depends on their major.

If they are majoring in football this is the worst possible place to send your kid. Miami is the Auschwitz of college football. It's where dreams go to die.

I'm all for burning Golden at the stake but your comments are just plan wrong. Miami is going to have 11 guys leaving the program this year that will play on Sundays. Guys come to Miami b/c they get a shot at playing professionally regardless of who is coach. There are a ton of examples but just look at Sam Shields from Randy's years and Chase Ford from Al's.

Sam Shields balled here. He actually contributed during his tenure but refused to move to corner until his senior year where he still performed better than anyone who has played corner since Golden arrived. Shields wasn't a scub here. Just an average wideout who didn't want to convert until his senior year. And too be fair, I don't think we'll have 11 guys make NFL squads. I wouldn't be surprised if we have between 6-8 guys make it.

LULZ at these goofballs and their short memories Irving has done a lot more controversial **** over the years than call Folden out. And he's managed to survive it.

He's backing UM's position because he's cagey enough to realize UM might be able to help him in the future if he is a good quiet soldier for them publicly. He doesn't care about the fans because we can't do anything for him.

At the end of the day this is a recruiting board and really half the fans don't even come on here . So don't blame fans that don't even voice on here. If I am a parent or recruit I am not going to care what fanboys have to say. Al got a nod from higher ups. He not going no where. So if you don't chose the U its because you don't want to play for the U. Not the fans scared you off.

Ps, Fsu fans went ham on players cars after 1 lost. That's far worst than trash talk on fan boards. I don't see Fsu kids decommting or shunning Fsu . Jimbo wins and that's why they cherry pick our back yard. Dalvin Cook put it best nothing personal just business. Meaning he want to win and get good exposure for himself.
I hate Fsu and I am really not happy I had to use them to make a point.

If your an elite brand you don't settle for less. I am not one for the negative vibe, but fan is short for fanatic and when an elite brand is falling into mediocrity the fanatics will show their zealous.

Don't kill fans passion use it. Without fans there is no U, so listen to your fan base. Hence why Michigan and Penn state and Ohio state sellout rather good years or bad. Fans know if they don't like a coach he is gone. Ask Rich Rod.

Don't care if my grammar is off I will care about my grammar when our fans are cared about.

Irvin's words doesn't bring any credibility. He only looks out for himself. I don't recall Irvin saying anything until Golden was hired. Where was he in 2006 when the media was killing us for the brawl we did not initiate? Where was he when the media was unfairly indirectly placing Sean Taylor's murder on our hands? Where was he when we were on probation for the pell grant? He only cares about himself and his support means nothing. Al tried to leave and he is going to war for him yet his former teammate loved this school and didn't get nearly the amount of support, yet Irvin didn't support him.

At least Philip Buch, Gonzalez and Randsll Gill keeps it real.
