Miami vs ND On A Collision Course

they did it to move Bama up and protect them no matter what happens on Saturday. If they lose a close one, they will be in. UGA would have to beat them down in order for them to fall out of a position to be in. Nothing about that move has anything to do with setting up Miami to get in.
Yes and No.

Miami /Notre Dame is a ratings bonanza. Has taken over the CFB Playoff as the most intriguing storyline.

They will have the opportunity to compare them side by side with Miami having the head to head W AND also the edge against common opponents.

Every single person will watch this week's games and the ratings/ build up to next Tuesday will be huge.

they've looked at the head to head for weeks. They won't tell the public that - we shall see. I think it's just more PR due to the outcry about Miami

Then ND is out. Bama is 95% locked in from the moment they made SEC champ. I mean unless in the off chance they got beat by like 21+ they are in.
Sankey SEC in bed w espn
I actually think nD is at risk which shocks me to type

You leave the best for last.

The Miami/ ND storyline is THE STORYLINE this CFB Playoff season. You dont give away the plot the week before your final show.

You guys can say it’s over, but TrumpyCane to play devils advocate

Why did Alabama jump Notre Dame for beating a ****** Auburn team?

If they thought so highly of Notre Dame, they wouldn’t have dropped them a spot
Bama moving up guarantees them in playoff. Should Bama lose Saturday, they will fall to 10th place and move ND up to avoid H2H with Miami. This is a P2 and ND playoff and everyone else is a guest.

So that when Bama loses to UGA they only have to drop them 1 spot to behind ND and then they serve as the barrier from Miami

And If Bama wins? They're not going to drop UGA 5-6 spot and put ND in front of them and ND can't jump OU by doing nothing, if anything makes OU stronger by beating Bama

TrumpyCane thinks they're setting it up to have us jump ND if BYU loses

Their reasoning for Bama jumping ND is bull**** based off their rhetoric the last few weeks of "how you've looked" because Bama has looked awful their last 5 games compared to ND and even have a loss thrown in there

They said they will rerank the entire Top 25 based off conference games, they could've said we will only rerank the top 12

I disagree with that in part. Bama has been *** and struggling against MID the past month.

They can easily lose by 14-21 and that might kick them out. They stay in imo if its within 10 points OR outright win.

In any sense BYU is the one that needs to lose.

If you think they’re letting Bama out of the playoffs then idk what to tell you. Georgia’s offense sucks and they aren’t blowing Bama out.

You say they have been “***” then why did they magically move Bama up? To give them enough wiggle room to fall to 10th place should they lose. The SEC and ND are protected. Game over for us.

Wouldn't be shocked if the Dawgs fall behind early and Kirby takes his foot off the gas.

CBeck went down last year against the Horns. Smart probably feels like UGA gets past ND in the quarterfinals if his starting QB is playing.

Plus, a first-round playoff game in Athens isn't the worst thing that can happen

sunday but yes

My prediction? Bama loses close, they drop them 1 spot. ND 9, Bama 10, Miami 11. Sorry, head to head doesn’t apply. See ya next year ✌🏻
This is my concern as well. We need a Bama victory, or for them to get completely blown out enough for them to be behind us. A close Bama loss just creates that buffer again between us and ND.

Ideally, yes. I don’t think Bama can drop behind us though, and honestly I agree with that. You made the SECCG. You’re in the playoff. You can’t be out if you lose. I guess if it’s 45-3 or something but that’s bull****.

IMO Bama is in no matter what. But we do want them to win to not drop down to 10 and put a buffer between us and ND again.

If Bama wins and Texas Tech wins, god help the committee if they make the final poll ND 10 and Miami 11. This is all already unfair and generating a ton of media buzz. And that’s when they were 3 spots apart. Imagine if they’re back to back and they put ND ahead? That can’t happen. (I’m fully aware it will).
