Why would you think Miami was going to be prime time? We are borderline top 25 whereas Clemson vs. UGA should be a top 5 matchup.

This. Too risky for ABC. Last 2 primetime games we got blown out last year. (Clemson and UNC) Literally the game was over by halftime. They want to believe that we would keep it a game because the UM and Bama brands are huge...but thats a tough choice to make. Not surprised. Why would the execs want to risk a blowout as a primetime game on opening weekend? Clemson-UGA is the smart choice by them.
Because “primetime television” is all about one thing - ratings.
Miami and Bama both dwarf Clemson and Georgia when it comes to brand/recognition. Clemson will be taking a step back and Georgia has never won a **** thing.
Miami and Bama would draw more all day everyday. Poor choice by abc but who cares.. let’s make little Nickys start to the season living ****!!!
LMAO!!!!!!! He got my man so high he stuck in 2000 broYour weed guy must be balling!

By taking a step back you mean winning the ACC and playoff contention? I'd sign up for that step back.Because “primetime television” is all about one thing - ratings.
