The problem with that line of thinking is the 10 win season was a highly suspect season. I am for sure more slurper than mope but you can't ignore the fact that in year 3 our D was trash and literally made every game a dog fight. We needed a 1* QB playing out his mind to keep us from losing mulitple games to some of the worst teams in our conference. Those 10 wins could have been 7 pretty **** easy, some around the country would argue it was.

We all know the D cost us a chance at the playoff and a win in the bowl game. You can argue it however you want but everyone knows if the secondary was just serviceable we blow out every team we played besides maybe GT.


That is why the mopes and skeptics still aren't downing Kool aid like its Jaeger in a jersey shore bar circa 2008.

That being said I believe in what Mario has built. I believe we will beat ND and if we do we are going to win 11 games in the regular season and reestablish our brand as the premier program in our state and conference.

Health being late in year and any potential opt outs are more my concern than Pitt itself

It is nonsensical to even mention recruiting before the portal and NIL because the sport is completely different since these two things became a reality.

I think imo if we were *** he would say it. He seems like the type to be honest. I mean that’s what I get when I watch him.

I know what you’re saying but referring to Cam as a 1 star QB says a lot about you and what you believe. It sounds like you’ve projected the limits you’ve placed on yourself to others like Mario and Cam get
I never saw an LSU defense as bad as when Jayden Daniels won the Heisman. I think units bottoming out at elite football schools might be a result of the portal and NIL with guys leaving when they’re backups instead of staying, paying dues, and growing into a starting role.

Sure. But it’s not really an accurate comparison yet. If Mario tanks this year, then maybe you will be correct.
