Miami Playing in the Cheez It Bowl

We need to make sure we don't get too exhausted with those 6 extra practices.

P.S. This is the worst OK State team I've seen in many years. They're better than usual on D, but their O is hapless. LOL at being a UM fan and not wanting to see another game.

We at one point thought we weren't going to have a football season back in June/July. Some fans can't contemplate that we won't see football for 8-9 months after the bowl game. And with how **** is, that's not even a guarantee.

Why opt out and miss the opportunity to have 6 more practices. We need all the practice we could get for that 2021 game vs Alabama.
I would rather get healthy and get in the weight room doing recovery work sooner. Either way your players will need 2-3 weeks of recovery before they can start absolute strength. I would rather do it now than later. 2020 is over. You especially don't want to play the Takis Bowl and have to do it post opt outs, injuries, and COVID sit outs. Time to move on to '21.

I wouldn't play starters outside of a quarter. Give the young players plenty of work in a real scrimmage situation. Would like to see TVD, the freshmen RBs, the young WRs, the future edge rushers and linebackers get most of the work in this game.
We've won like 1 Bowl game in 15 years.

We don't have the luxury of using it as a scrimmage - that's crazy talk.

Kind of solidifies my theory that most of the guys on here are super casual fans.

Not sure who I want to play. I feel like OK st is the inferior team especially with Hubbard opting out but Texas is the sexier matchup and I’ve always wanted to play them. I believe we could beat both but OK st seems like more of a guarantee. Thoughts?

Why would Miami want to out of a bowl game? Who cares if it’s the Cheez- It Bowl. Its more football. I like Cheez- It’s as well. Don’t hate.
Not a fan of Cheez-it’s but I am a fan of another game. Play game, redeem from the sacless performance at home to end the year, win game, hit the bean hard in the off season. Like really hard. Stack and inject.

Awesome Cane football heart spoken right here , any time a player can play one more game is a Blessing.

Very fleeting as we sit here watching it on TV saying if I could only play again .

NEVER PASS ON PLAYING ONE MORE TIME ..... NEVER

Fans, the team, the players, everyone connected to the U should want to get the vile taste of horseshyt out of their mouths after last Saturday. OK State is beatable, the attitude of the team going in to the Spring is important. We need a victory. Butch got his team up after 'cuse layed 66 points on us and went out and beat the #2 team in the country the following week. After Clemson, Manny got a COVID hobbled team up, to beat Pitt, breaking the "Bye" jinx, and then UVA, a decent NC ST squad on the road, and VT on the road with barely 50+ players suiting up.
If he can't get this team up to play, after last Saturday, then by all means, fire him the next day.
