He and Congden are blue chip OL recruits
This dude is 6’7, 330. He is a six-star talent. It is gross negligence to have three stars next to his name:

It’s not about how hard he hit him. It’s the movement to get there at a legit 6’7, 330.That’s a 150 lb corner that he had a running start at. I don’t think this signifies anything. This shouldn’t be a hype piece…

just the way this kid jogs at his size should warrant 5+ status. It’s not about how hard he hit him. It’s the movement to get there.
I stand by what I said. These clips are so far away you can’t get a real feel for footwork. Yes, when he gets ahead of steam, he can move. So can a lot of D1 bound OLine men. He has physical gifts, no questioning that. Just don’t think this is the perfect clip demonstrating the ability of the player. Show me the angle he takes when he pulls, show me the balance as he moves in line, show me his hand placement as he kicks back, show me the power in his hands when he engages while kicking back, show me the drive as he moves his progression from down and then up to backer. It’s not about how hard he hit him. It’s the movement to get there.

Anyone with two eyes and an idea of how football is played at the LOS knew McLaughlin had no business getting a scholarship to The U.Thank you, I will watch and break him down. I will let you know everything, a full scouting report on this kid. If you go back and look at my history, when McLaughlin came here from Douglas, I broke him down and knew there was no chance in **** he would make it. I’m not saying this kid won’t make it, I was solely basing it on the clip. I’ll give you an honest opinion by this evening.
I wouldn’t trade this guy for anybody. He is elite.
