The thing is, we have been turned down many times in the past. Heck, Butch was the only guy willing to take the job and clean out the liquor bottles after Dennis left, only to find a REAL CLOUD. We are Canes and can't understand why any coach would say no. But in truth, you only take the Miami job if you want a short route to NFL HC job or you can't really get a decent D1 gig. Our administration is has been downright starting with Foote and our AD have sucked before and after Sam. Toss in the basic cheap, cheap, cheap thing and original Rockie type facilities, then maybe you understand why. Take our own boy at UGA. If he had some here and done what he has done at UGA we would have run him out of town years ago. Maybe Tuberville regrets not taking our offer but do you really think he would be here with his record. You must win here and win means play for frigging NCs frequently and win one. Then move on the NFL. We are not a home for Bobby's and JoPa's who win a couple NC in 30 or 40 years. Heck, we might be the ONLY school where The Bear himself would get a banner flown. This is THE U. We still see Butch running down the beach like a Baywatch chick. He needs to gt in, load up and win a NC before we see all the wrinkles and grey hair. Then retire in glory. Wasn't it also reported that UM paid an additional $4M to get rid of Folden now instead of waiting till December? Seems to me that the money myth is being exploded by actions.
