He is 3/4 with one TD, one 2pt, one 44 yarder, the incompletion he wants back and likely get another chance at it this year.

Yes, I was about to say that the first pass we saw from Nickel was about 10 yards underthrown. Maybe not fair to judge but that did make me say "yikes" . It certainly was not good enough to warrant this OP saying we are set.

Dawson recruited Judd and I believe Emery was a hold over from Manny, but the fact that those two quarterbacks are still on the roster proves that Dawson cant evaluate or develop a god**** thing at quarterback

Nickel no clue.

Miami will have a portal starting QB again next year.

A portal QB who might be here for two years rather than a one year rental would be ideal.

The lack of QB continuity the last three years hasn't been ideal

What we really need: elite QB and Moore/Trader/Upshaw/Carr to take the next steps. I’m also excited to see what Parris, Wingo, Stafford can bring to the table.

The best QB option that allows Miami to win the most games will play. The days of starting unproven QBs are long gone. Too much money at stake to start 0-2 while "So & So" gets comfortable with the college game. That and 8-4 gets you to El Paso on December 27th. Fawk that!
