These guys are going to spend all week worried about their mamas and their brothers and their sisters and cousins and buddies.... they'll be thinking about everything except for football.
Maybe that goes for the coaches as well, to an extent.
Would have been better to get everyone out of town away from the chaos.
So if they were in Atlanta they wouldn't have been thinking about those people so far away and being unable to help them? The questions would have made it worse. Have you heard from your family? How much damage was done to your home?
Not only that, but as we saw with a category ONE storm as far as what part hit us, we lost power, cell phones, land lines, and they would have been in Atlanta checking their phones for ANY word on their families. I have family in the Keys, they evacuated, but they had to wait three days just to be told their home was gone. Not damaged, not a shell, GONE. Until you go through that, you can't claim you can ignore what is happening here while you are safe in Jonesboro (if you call that safe) or Atlanta (where at some points the storm was also tracked to hit).
