I guess in the 4 years Mario has been here it was too much to ask for a good kicker.
This take is a big concern.

In the 4yrs Mario has been here we have literally had the best kicker play in like Miami history lol.I guess in the 4 years Mario has been here it was too much to ask for a good kicker.

Right??? So confused with that takeIn the 4yrs Mario has been here we have literally had the best kicker play in like Miami history lol.
I’d say it’s a concern that he didn’t have anyone ready to take over Borregales as this Texas kicker is horrible. This guy being the best option is utterly ludicrous.I guess in the 4 years Mario has been here it was too much to ask for a good kicker.

Our fanbase has the collective IQ of a mosquitoRight??? So confused with that take

Probably going to send Auburn out on XPs and anything under 40 yards, maybe up to 45. Then the FIU kid will take the 45+ attempts. It's going to be extremely difficult going from the Borregales brothers to this guy. However, I think we need to be a little realistic about the situation though as you don't normally have an automatic kicker every season. This kid is perfect on XP and his percentage inside 40 looks pretty good. He did have a rough season last year. Hopefully he'll turn it around and return to form from two seasons ago. It's mental for a lot of kickers and the change of scenery could be a good thing for him.

My assumption. Maybe not. He was pretty good from any range in 2023.
The comment "bert auburn sucks" refers to Texas Longhorns kicker Bert Auburn's struggles, particularly his performance in the Peach Bowl and his subsequent benching for the CFP semifinal Cotton Bowl. Auburn missed two crucial field goals in the Peach Bowl, and his overall kicking percentage significantly dropped in 2024 compared to previous seasons. Following his poor performance and the news of his benching, he announced his intent to enter the NCAA transfer portal. He kicks 58% from behind the 40 yard line.
0-2 from beyond 50+ yard line last year.
Not clutch. Doesn’t have a strong leg. And now expecting him to mentally rebound after a horrible year.
Is he that curly headed ****? If so, yesMaybe I’m wrong. But didn’t he miss like every big kick Texas needed this year?
Agreed. Add the fact that we did not upgrade at all with the front 7 on defense. Our new secondary isn’t going to beat ND when they’re pounding the ball.Last year we barely needed Borregales
This year we are gonna be kicking a lot more field goals and we got this guy
Sometimes I wonder what we did to deserve this
I’m just waiting for the year when we take all positions personally at the same timeAgreed. Add the fact that we did not upgrade at all with the front 7 on defense. Our new secondary isn’t going to beat ND when they’re pounding the ball.
We can’t get out of own way.

So enamored with ND.. as if they have all Americans at every position and have no weak spots lol.Agreed. Add the fact that we did not upgrade at all with the front 7 on defense. Our new secondary isn’t going to beat ND when they’re pounding the ball.

Anything beyond 40 yards, go for it or punt....cause that dude will miss it.Probably going to send Auburn out on XPs and anything under 40 yards, maybe up to 45. Then the FIU kid will take the 45+ attempts.

Can you name any kicker on any other team besides Gramatica at USF? Lol. College kickers almost always suck ****. We were blessed with the Borregales brothers. That being the expectation is a lot to ask unfortunately. Kickers are their own thing. Abram Murray was the 5th ranked kicker coming out of HS doesn't mean ****.Last year we barely needed Borregales

Sounds like a good strategy to me. At least he makes his PATsProbably going to send Auburn out on XPs and anything under 40 yards, maybe up to 45. Then the FIU kid will take the 45+ attempts.
