I was about to type this. A few times it looked like he was playing selfishly and it hurt the defense and Coach Hayes was hot about it. Kid has major talent, obviously, but it seems he just needs to play within the confines of the defense.

Maybe he is trying to do too much.

Maybe in back of his head, "if I don't sack the QB 2 secs after snap it will be another 90+ yd TD pass and catch..."
 
He’s been solid, got held a few times. One being on that bomb from the 1.

Sacks and tackles isn’t the end all be all for grading dlineman

He called the wrong name on a couple of those plays lol it was harvey he meant to say

Definitely not the end all be all but it's the vast majority. Setting the edge for 4 quarters is cool and all but thats not how you win.

I hear u but we’ve seen what a defense looks like when u don’t set the edge so id say its a key part of any successful defense

ehhh..trying to put up numbers to get to the league would be my guess. Was very conscious of how he was being utilized at WVU, if memory serves.

He is our worst cornerback.
 
Well he is our best overall defensive player

If you're talking about best natural pass rusher its Kelly

I wouldn't say it's a glaring issue...everyone has misses. Cue Bama grabbing the players they did in the portal and most of them walked in and start now. Those same transfers got injured (last year) and pass offense took a hard dip. Run offense was mid for them all last year too despite the 5☆'s.

Bama needs portal guys cause their guys keep leaving for the nfl. We need portal guys cause our recruiting suck. Don’t compare the two
