Mensah better than Carr

Just heard another analyst hyping up CJ Carr. Mensah is a better QB, IMO. And maybe I need to take off my orange and green shades but position by position Miami has a better team.

QB - edge Miami
RB - edge Miami
WR - edge Miami
TE - even (no proven starter on either team)
OL - even (both teams have to fill holes)
DL - edge Miami
LB - edge ND
CB - edge Miami --- Leonard Moore is great player. I'd love to see @Lance Roffers breakdown his game compared to Xavier Lucas'. Overall we have a better starting unit.
S - - slight edge Miami ----Shuler is a better S than Poyser. But if Fitzgerald can add some weight during the offseason he's the best S on either team.

Curious to hear others thoughts?

Moore is better than Lucas. Rare skills. Lucas is a very good CB, I think OJ is better. Moore though is a top 5 pick type CB.
Moore is a great CB, the only way u can really attack him is in the run game. But as a CB u take the elite coverage skills all day. Lucas is pretty good in the run game and a great tackler.

U think Shuler is better than Poyser? There pretty wash, i don’t know how u can say one is better than the other. Maybe PFF grades say otherwise. I don’t have access to those.

Media wants to gas up Carr because he plays for ND. I see a lot of similarity at this point between Carr and TVD. Racked up gaudy stats on mostly garbage defenses
In year 1. in year 2, good defenses will have plenty of film and know how to make him nervous in the pocket.

Miami will slap nd around
Carr is mid
Period
Thier Oline will be fat and slow
Miami is NOT a good matchup w ND
We are bigger stronger faster tougher across the board

We WILL handle them
It’s just media types on their k res slobbering nds **** per usual…add Texas to that list too

We WANT ND to be an eight or nine point favorite at Home when we go into that game. Ideally, if both teams are undefeated, this will be a #1 vs. #2 matchup. Notre Dame will be #1 because of Carr.

Don’t kid yourself. This WILL be the biggest game since the 1988 game.

This game will draw Playoff Numbers on tv. The disrespect towards Miami nationally will be palpable.

Our locker room will eat that up.

Spot the ball.

I forget the exact number, but I believe something like half of the teams who were ranked in last year’s preseason Top 25 finished the year unranked. Translation: Most of these writers have no clue what they’re doing. I wish they would just wait until we’re 3-4 games into the season to start ranking teams but we all know that’s never going to happen. Preseason polls stimulate debate, discussion, and give old farts like us something to talk about. Being underrated and under-ranked seemed to work out fine for us last year so I’m not too worried about it. What I do know is that the Miami-ND game will be a war. You know they’ll be looking for some kind of sick retribution for last year, but I have no doubt we’ll be ready.

The disrespect for miami and love for ND will continue but once B.T.A is in play ND will get real charmin soft and cry again about UM.

Keep pumping ND as if they are some dynasty like UM is just happy to play against them.

B.T.A

It’s more likely that we’re undefeated and #1-3 in the country than ND being a -7 or -8 point favorite.

The only disrespect will be from other fan bases. Most of the media is expecting miami to be very good this year

There is no alternate universe or multiverse where they would be 8 to 9 point favorites over us unless we actually are a **** team and no one knows it yet

I'm not sure why you guys think so lowly of Carr. He is a **** of a QB that can scramble, he's big, and has an excellent arm. If he stays healthy he'll be at the Downtown Athletic club someday for a presentation. Yes, I know we all can't stand ND but the kid has the goods period.
Let’s see him win some games against real teams before handing him a heisman.
For all we know he’s the next in a long line of overrated nd Qbs
I’m not convinced
