Memphis at Houston

I know there's a lot of Dorito hate on here. But he was ok here (below our standards, but okay). And he's done ok at Houston. Lots of yards, but top 40 in points. They shut down Arizona on the road.

He's not horrible. He belongs in FBS football. Just not the highest level.

30+ points allowed in a half

No D gives up 42 points in the second half.

Flashbacks of years of frustration we suffered in the hands of No D and Folden. All those second half losses. Thank goodness they are gone. Our last 2 games has almost repaired my damaged psyche.

D'No gunna No'D.

...Still can't believe that Houston went from Tom Herman to No'D.

....Don't these schools look at these guys' prior track record?

Houston Administration: "Well, we got this Defensive Coordinator candidate, goes by D'Nofrio. Was a former DC for the University of Miami. They have great defenses, don't they?"

Houston Fans: "No, don't do that!"

Administration: "Why?"

Fans: "The guy sucks. He took a normally speedy Miami defensive unit, and turned them into a gap contain, 3-4 defense. When he was down there, he overwhelmingly under-performed. Even their fans told us not to hire him."

Administration: "Oh come on, what kind of fans tell another school-"

Miami Hurricane Fans: "DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY, CROSS THE IBIS AND HOPE TO DIE, DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!"

Administration: "Well, we got a good recommendation from Al Golden. We're hiring him."

All fans: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..............."

I am stunned that any Miami fan would make this statement. I am a college football junkie since the early eighties. I watch a ton of games every Saturday. I have never seen a worse DC than him EVER. On Memphis last drive, not a single Houston player was playing the ball. They were playing areas. They were back pedaling and not attacking the ball. It reminded me of his year at Miami when he took some decent talent and just failed to utilize it. NoD does not belong in FBS, he doesn't belong in any college or high school program. **** I wouldn't even trust him to coach any of my three kids in Pee Wee football. He is a cancer on any program he is associated with and there comes a time in life, when you choose a profession, and you absolutely SUCK at what you do, that you walk away quietly. That time has come for him. He better resign because if he doesn't he will be fired very soon. 42 point in a half is not just bad, it is embarrassing and Houston fans ain't going to put up with that chit even if Major Applewhite brought binders with him when he got the job.

The best coaches I've seen is they take the talent they can get, build an offense/defense based on their players strengths, and scheme to minimize their weaknesses.

D'No takes players, forces them to play a defense they are not suited to play, and schemes to accentuate their weaknesses.

It's literally trying to put a round peg in square hole; only the round peg is on fire, and is twice as large as the square hole.

Guys can say what they want about Shannon; his defenses lended themselves to the type of guys we could get.

When D'No was interviewing for this job, didn't he say his players were going to "GET TO THE QUARTERBACK AND MAKE BIG PLAYS?"

Add him being a liar onto the list as well.
