I keep seeing this type of argument, but as far as I can tell, if you want to run with the big dogs you’re gonna need to plan on breaking the bank. All the time. That’s just how it is now.

Of course, that doesn’t mean the cheaper guys necessarily suck, or the most expensive are the best, but if you wanna be in the mix then you pony up.

It’s kind of like recruiting…sure you’ll hit on some 3 stars, but I’m betting on the team loaded with 5 stars every time.
 
I would like Lane as an option as well, but it is odd that his name has not been connected to OU, or any job other than Miami and that was mostly through self-promotion. Does he really want to only live in a city or is there some other reason he isn’t being discussed with more openings?

Miami isn’t breaking the bank on a HC and AD and then going to cut corners on support staff….

If thats the case, then I am in... just so effen tired of sucking.... Sadly, i am the guy that watches till the bitter end and always think/hope we are on the brink. Sad that we have gone from NC or else to hoping we can WIN the Coastal

It's bad. I didn't realize how bad they were until talking to some folks connected to the program and Alabama. Deeper than philandering and tweeting.
