Maurice Smith Alabama DB transfer

So how do all you dyck suckers feel now that you realize Miami was 3rd on his list...some nerve for a dude who never started a day in his college career lol..But oh wait he was pencild in to start at nickel before real practices even started?

Read all this realizing if he comes here id be as giddy as a school girl

Not sure what your point is.
Fellow Cane fans on this board are going by what they have read regarding Smith, and it seems like they read and
heard bad information about Smith favoring UM when in reality it appears that he favors UGA.
Blame Canesport and the other idiots in media who propagated their bad info (as always).

NO point i was just ****ed that canefans were declaring him the best CB on our team when he never really played in college
He wanted to go to Baylor first then Georgia then Miami..DO yo ustill want him realizing that his heart isnt here?

Siding with vern on this if he comes here great. But **** that's like you getting a chick you like after she's been ran through best up by all her other dudes then because none of them trying to wife her she "settles" with you. Like man I really wanted to be with these dudes but let me settle for this guy because he really needs and wants me.

Man **** that if you wasn't option number 1 **** it. He ain't gone have his heart and soul into this ****. If he comes cool but it's like you forcing him to do some **** that he really don't want to do
This ain't no beat up worn out pvssy, and we ain't eating some other dude's leftover seed. We're talking about a football player who can make our team better.
Couldn't agree more. Week 7, 8, 9 roll in and we ar dinged up? I'd be thrilled with bringing a guy like this in. He'd be good on some coverage teams on specials while he learns defense as well. Guys playing to increase NFL stock. No brainer.

Lots of successful players at UM who initially looked at the program as fallback option, even attending other schools before
getting smart and transferring to UM.
Look at the 1983 team, they had transfers from South Carolina, Kentucky, Nebraska and many of the players who initially signed with
UM probably grew up dreaming of playing for other established programs. Especially the players from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, etc.

Not sure what the problem is here.
If we need him, I'm good.

This is a non-issue. Especially for a 5th year kid....imagine if this was an issue how the **** would the NFL draft work lol.

If he doesn't come he's an idiot. Straight up.

At some point reality has to set in. Saban can hide dead bodies and get away w it. He's the type of ******* who'll punch a dude in the face, then somehow excoriate the guy he punched for provoking him (probably a LSU fan he'll reason) and hurting his hand. Then he'll just blame the media for everything.

You ain't going to Georgia, bro. Move on.

Looks like Kirby "Hypocite" Smart will not let this go, he seems to be throwing a little "shade" on Nick Saban with this Maurice Smith deal. Funny how he didn't feel this way when he crapped all over RB AJ Truman transferring from UGA this spring, but I guess the Kirby Smart undergrad non-transfer clause to Miami is not hypocritical in his eyes.

Kirby Smart addresses Maurice Smith situation
By Matt Zenitz August 06, 201

Kirby Smart says he will allow any Georgia graduate transfer to join whatever school he wants, even if it's within the SEC.

That's what the Bulldogs coach told reporters Saturday when asked about Maurice Smith, the defensive back Alabama is blocking from joining Georgia or any other SEC school as a graduate transfer.

"I can't speak much about the Mo situation because he's a recruited, prospective student-athlete," Smart said. "... But as far as the graduate transfer deal, I think every young man that we bring here to the University of Georgia, we want them to graduate from this place. And if they have an opportunity to go to graduate school at another place, I certainly think that's going to be something that we let them do."

Even if that player wants to go to another SEC school?

"Absolutely," Smart said.

This is an ongoing process with Smith, who still wants to go to Georgia even after losing an appeal last week.

For at least right now, Smith is in the same position as he was before the appeal hearing. He can transfer wherever he wants as long as it's outside the SEC.

A reserve defensive back as a junior at Alabama last season, Smith was set to enter fall camp as the Tide's first-team nickel back before deciding to transfer.

"I know there's a lot of talk out there and interest about the Maurice Smith deal," Tide coach Nick Saban said Thursday. "I'm going to say the same thing I said at SEC media day. Nothing has changed. We support the SEC rule of not granting guys' releases to go to other SEC schools. It has been our policy here not to do that unless there was a special circumstance. ...

"I am not going to discuss this any further. Maurice did a great job for us around here. We want to help him every way that we can, and he has opportunities to go other places outside the league, and we are supporting him and helping him do that. So that's all we can say about that."

Bottom line NIck Saban holds all the chips on this and he's not going to allow it for good reason . Same reason smart blocked us he will not allow these kids to fallow a coach . If he does it will open up doors for more to fallow

What a bold faced ******' liar, he literally blocked all UGA kids from following Richt to Miami.
I wish those ****suckin SEC reporters would've followed up with a legitimate question & asked him about blocking kids to Miami, he would've stood up there and tried to sly talk his way out of it.
He learned from the best though, his buddy Saban taught him how to be a complete & total lying sack of sh*t in order to succeed at all costs.

I don't get it. Why can't he go to Ga. If he wants too. He graduates from Ala. today. Saban can't do anything about it. Am I wrong?

Wrong, SEC has a rule that even grad transfers have to be allowed to transfer. Saban holds the chips on this one. Serves Kirby right for grandstanding on the "we cannot allow players to follow former coaches" when he blocked the UM transfer.

It's not just an SEC rule. Grad transfers still need release from the school, they just don't have to sit. Saban's just enforcing the SEC rule that's in addition to the general release needed.

I don't see the issue he allowing him to play . If he keeps pushing he might get blocked all together.

Were any of those kids that wanted to follow Richt graduate transfers? That seems a different case than a kid that still an undergrad but wants to transfer.

Our posters are even apologizing for Smart now. We have some of the worst "fans".

Yeah dude, I'm sure Smart would never do anything to prevent a grad transfer from coming to Miami. Jfc you're delusional if you believe that

We're there graduate transfers at UGA that wanted to come to Miami? Because he said grad transfers not any player.
