Martell at WR

Insult to the receivers imo. It seems like they were trying to set up a play and the play Dallas scored on at the beginning of the 4th quarter martell motioned and drew some attention of uf defense feeeing up Dallas. But martell doesn’t need to be out there running routes given the other receivers on the team

I saw him run one route. I’m fine with that because otherwise opposing teams know a run is coming every time Tate is on the field.
I doubt Tate see significant time at WR.

Ok. Now you need to put the hookah pipe down.

Push back from the table.

I’m looking at this from a coaching point of view and not a fan that hate Tate. After leaking info that Tate was at WR in practice, having him out there as a decoy speaks to Enos’ creativity imo. I doubt he sees significant time at WR but I would not be shocked since we only have 3 receivers that consistently catch the ball.

Huge mistake by Enos.

HUGE.

Complete waste of player available on field.

Can see other WRs transferring if he ever steps foot in active game play again.
And would this be a HUGE colossal mistake if Tate caught a slant and took it to the end zone? No.. See people on here disagree w sh— when it doesn’t favor them. Clearly Tate was used schematically, the threat of him passing or catching a screen, or running a wildcat play caught the attention of UF, it just didn’t work. Don’t wait until now to question Enos play calling because Tate got in over Hightower, Payton and Wiggins, especially when there was several other questionable play calls that didn’t involve Tate.

What other receivers do we have?

At the X position you have
1. KJ
2. Hightower
3. Wiggins

At the z position you have
1. Jeff
2. Pope
3. Tate

At the F position you have
1. Hartley
2. Walk on

You can’t move Hartley to the Z position because who would play the F?

You can’t be on game day asking a player to switch positions

Come on friend.

His plays [Tate] appeared to not be designed for that.

I will say this though, what does that day about other WRs if Tate was on field and they were not.

Yikes.

This sh— cracks me up, where was this passion last year when these receivers were dropping passes and running incorrect routes? If Tate is on the field, it isn’t to catch, it’s to get the defense off balance and on the heels of their feet. He adds an element of passing and speed in his ****nal. But opponents know this so they factor him in, this is exactly what Manny said he wanted Enos to do, to keep the opposing defense guessing and on the heels of their feet. I don’t like gimmick plays very much but I’m all about keeping the opposing defense off balance. Expect a Tate package or two every game, because Miami can’t break him in once a blue moon, opponents will expect the play involves him and they will break it down. My only concern is that Enos vision of an offense looks good on paper but idk if we have the O-line to pull that off, but if we do, expect some flea flickers, screen pass and then throws, motioning etc w Tate

Running Jeff Thomas in motion would’ve had the same effect.

Like I said, It’s creative to have some of these Tate packages once or twice a game but Enos left him out there for too long as a result of overthinking
We’ll have to agree to disagree. Because I don’t think having Tate on the field at WR brings any value. If you want to design some plays for him in the red zone at QB I’m cool with but not WR. Tate hasn’t done anything in college football at WR to get a defense off balance.

But then you’d be limiting your playbook. Tate at WR does bring some value, rewatch the game and look at the safeties reaction, during the first and second time he enters the game.

Wr isnt just about being a good athlete. And yall act like the other wrs don't know any plays. They know enough to get some reps.
The argument is about a particular position within the WR corps..after Pope went down, Tate stepped into that position
