Marques Gayot to the U

Hester made that joker pull the trigger but i wonder if they'll honor his commitment if Hester decides to commit would think hester and jackson are the main DB recruits

If they accepted the kid's commitment and don't honor it, they should rename themselves Bulls*** U.

From that Scout message board:

Whenever someone has decommited someone better has come in to fill the spot. I believe CCS is very honest during the recruiting process and if he over recruits a player there's no doubt in my mind he makes sure the player has a landing spot. We've always come out smelling like roses when this happens.

He will be. Linebacker here under golden.. Think armbrister

I think he looks like a LB in the video that was shown.

A very athletic LB that can cover - but that's the type of LB I like.

We need to stop this linebacker talk, we are in despite need of an enforcer at safety and now we have one. Every good defense needs an enforcer at safety and we don't have one this year because Bush was hurt. This guy needs to stay at safety.

I agree with those that see an LB in this kid. His frame looks like it can hold more weight. Carter is not a good comparison. Carter is loose around the ankles, and like someone said earlier, displayed some good burst (you could see it in those return highlights in high school). Gayot seeks contact and looks to have good ball skills. Would be a good asset when defending teams that have 3 WRs on the field in a nickel package. I like this take.

I love how our fans change kids position before they step on campus. Even though it's a position of major need.

Dude was on an unofficial visit tonight when he made the flip. Hester had that boy scared. Talking **** stains on the underwear, hide them from your mom so she doesn't see them at laundry time scared.

Dont disrespect the kid like that man. He flipped to Miami...is a Cane. Treat him like a Cane.

+1 his movement skills are pretty good but he doesn't have the speed and range to play safety, then you look at his size, build and hitting ability and it's obvious what position he'll be playing eventually - OLB. I'd rather have athletes like Bush, Carter & Burns at safety than Gayot as an "enforcer" who can't cover a deep-half zone let alone man up in the slot. It's not 1920 anymore...we face spread offenses that attack matchups through the air, so you need DBs that can run with WRs & athletic TEs like Ebron/O'Leary.

It means carter has better change of direction and short area burst than Gayot. IMO, Gayot's film is what Jermaine Grace's film would look like if Miramir had him to play safety. There are a couple plays in his senior film where he is in the box and he looks very natural finding the ball and filling the hole. He's a future WLB.

I want him on the field to hurt people and don't care were he plays. We need people to deliver pain--intense and often. If he can't cover, at least he can make WR regret having come his way. Hes coverage will get better as game goes on because nobody will come into his area.

F all that. We havent had a "real deal holyfield" Strong Safety walking around in our secondary since James Lewis. A true SS that allows our FS to just do what they do best. Play center field and intercept anything in there path. Thats what I think this guy brings. He will allow a guy like Jamal Carter to just be an athlete. And not have to worry about hitting a **** or protecting the run. Let Hester and Gayot handle all that. Like Lewis did for Reed and Fullington did for Bennie.

LoL unreal post highseas.

Congrats u got negged and would gladly neg again

some Cane fans are mental...I remember reading post after post frustration from fans because the kid had no offer from us, and this we most of the sentiment, now he is a commit we are talking about him playing outside linebacker...smh at all the arm chair coaches. I going to trust the guy who is making a lil over $2 million to recruit and put the players in the right place, but thanks for posting!
