Wait....what.....da.....fak....has he ever done at Georgia besides being mediocre.

No thanks, I'll pass

Hes 136-48 with 9 ten win seasons.
This thread was sarcastic but hes actually a good coach MizCane...

And i beleive the talent he would have immediate access to here is better .... So yea id be very happy if he was ever hired here

He won 13 games the same year we went undefeated and got robbed in the desert.... Hes sneaky good

How is he mediocre and almost 100 games OVER .500 and has lost 4 more games over 14 years than we have in the last 8.

Golden and Shannon lost 44 combined hes lost 48 ....

It is my opinion that the "right" coach would win national titles at Georgia. The talent in their recruiting base is very high. They also do not lack for resources.

The difference between them and Florida is the "right" coach. AKA Urban and Spurrier.

If someone can't win a Natty at Georgia, then I don't think they are the "right" coach for us. Howard, Jimmy, and Butch all would have won Nattys at Georgia.

Thanks for spelling what I was trying to say out. He is a "good" coach not great. Great coaches win National Titles minus Larry Coker

He sucks. He was fighting no one in his home state for prospects for years and can win sh/t.
Right now I honestly feel golden can do what he does at Uga. The unreal talent that has came through there and all they have is a varsity hot dog to show for it.

Him and his wife are too religious to ever consider living in South Florida again. Plus, he's got the hilljack Dawg fans tricked into believing they're always just one year away.

I personally think Richt would kill it here. His record speaks for itself and lets not kid ourselves, he's coaching in the SEC. He's been to the SEC title game numerous times and we can't even make the ACC game. He is a major upgrade over what we have had since Butch left and it isn't close. I love the fact that he runs a pro style so we wouldn't have to change much. I doubt he leaves UGA though, but he is an ALUM and that makes you wonder.

For those in the know has he ever even been contacted about the openings here or has he ever shown any interest?

Yall dudes knocking Richt are insane!

How many national titles did Butch win as HC?

Yet, yall think he would immediately compete with Saban and Urban, though he's never done it?

Butch could easily be Mark Richt ... And most of yall claiming he's "a god" would then be griping about "only" winning 10 games per year, like UGA fans do. Lol

Richt is a great coach! He's not coming to Miami, so the debate is mute ... But if he did, we'd be lucky to have him, IMO.

I think he passed on the Miami job years ago when we were still THE team. He certainly is better than Al but still has underachieved. Seems to be a very nice guy but has underachieved seriously.
