i know coley was considered top 7 or so wr out of high school.

this guy has as much upside? coley was so smooth in his routes, it's a real shame he had three years under the old staff or would have been much better off headed toward the league.

honestly, I think Coley is gonna absolutely kill it in the league. Something similar to Hurns in a way that he didn't even come close to touching his ability in college but will go off and kill the league.

I think Coley can do well in the league, but to say Hurns didn't touch his ability in college is ridiculous. Dude had 1,162 receiving yards his senior year (the Canes single season receiving record)

Agreed. There's a common misconception that the previous coaches (as bad as they were) somehow held Allan Hurns back and that what hurt him in the draft. What hurt him in the draft was NFL teams ignoring his huge production and focusing too much on his 40 time. When you break the Miami single season receiving yards record, you're definitely being used correctly. Hurns was very productive his junior and senior seasons. Why NFL teams ignored that, is a mystery to me.

Hurns not getting drafted was horrendous. However, he needs to step up his confidence in a major way this year. He was hot garbage last season. Even he admits it.

pope isnt anythingh like coley. pope is quick, elusiveness and can make you miss. one look at his highlight and you will see why they call him "noodle" dude is sliipperyt as ****. coley straight line speed and no moves or quickness. he is already my favorite reciever in that class. dude can make you miss and get a big chunk. not sure about this straight line speed but he will get YAC for sure.,

The Jags whole receiver core (and Bortles) was hot garbage last year, as my fantasy teams with Robinson can attest.

Lol what? Go watch coley' freshmen film if you weren't actually watching games then. You couldn't be more wrong. He lost his elusiveness with the added weight in muscle

Bortles is awful. Lee came on strong last season and was a fantasy bright spot in deeper leagues.

The Jags WR battle will be fun. A-Rob is the 1. Lee, Hurns, and now Westbrook will be battling for the #2 and slot. The other guys have more special teams ability, speed, and God given talent than Hurns. Hurns was always consistent and outworked everyone. Last season he caught a severe case of the dropsy's and teams accounted for him. Hurns needs to earn that huge extension. Most of the guaranteed money is gone after this season. Bottom line is that man needs to be out there working vs. spending time at the tables in the casino. Why not start mentoring some of these new UM WR's and recruits?

Not once did I mention golden. And stop the 7th rounder crap. His draft position had more to do with rumors of being a head case. There's no denying his athletic ability

Who said that? I think his durability was his main knock at the draft. That and against weaker Comp he almost disappeared at times. Not that he was a head case. That's bull **** and cane slander.

He reclassified from 2019 down to 2018. Great win by Ridge keeping him home as he was about to attend Booker T originally.

Let me just say that he's been an X-Factor for his teams since his days with Richmond Giants & Palmetto Raiders.

Maybe I might get disagreed with by some people but I feel he was more dominant his Junior year than Jeudy was at the same stage. His progression through the off-season circuit so far (Camps, 7on7) almost eerily similar to what Jeudy was doing last off-season.

When Ridge was struggling to get the offense rolling early on in the season, this was the guy making the big plays when needed. As the season progressed, especially going into the playoffs he just took over.

He reminds me of Stacy Coley a lot. While there is differing opinions on Coley from fans, I felt he was a great talent and a great WR. Just felt Coley was wasted away while Golden was here aside from being injury prone during his time at Miami. He always showed up on the biggest stages when we needed him. I am on the boat that believes and thinks he will have a better career in the NFL. On the other hand I feel Pope will be blessed with a much superior coach than Coley had most of his time here and a better team around him during his time at Miami.

Pope may not test super fast like a guy like Jeff Thomas per say, but he has plentttyy of game speed. He has that same knack Coley had for showing up in big games and coming up clutch.

While I couldn't make it to Paradise Camp last year due to a prior family vacation obligation. I had many eyes and ears that I know who were there and #6 (Mark Pope) received a LOT of praise as best in his group.

Didn't know the kid was a fellow Palmetto Raider alum on top of being a fellow Spartan. I played for the Raiders a long time ago, my dad helped build the field on Franjo Rd near the Lil General, if it's even still there.

It might be bs. It was that annual insider draft rumor mill crap that happens every year. Durability was also another question mark. Even though he never really missed games bc of injury he seemed to be dinked up after every play.

I've never seen a player waive himself off the field more than coley, people say he's tough because he kept coming back in but i see it different. Let's not forget he may actually own the record for most penalties by a WR. Then there was the whole "toothache" incident his sophmore year.

Mark Pope reminds me of Marvin Harrison, been saying that since last year.

Around the same size, similar shiftiness, great hands & route running with Elite ability to change gears.

Stacy Coley always reminded me of Mike Wallace in his prime, he was a beast for us & the fact Pope looks up to him so much speaks volumes.

Torry Holt and Marvin Harrison are solid pro player comparisons for Mark Pope.... we'll see if he can live up to that comparison

I think Richt and Dugans put the kibosh on Coley excusing himself from the game after every catch. There was a play, early in the season against either FAMU or FAU where Coley made a nice catch near the opposite sideline and like clockwork, got up and made the motion for a sub. Richt literally walked halfway on the field from the sideline and motioned for him to stay in the game. That was really my only beef with the kid. Otherwise he was pretty solid. His ability to catch the goal line fade is probably the best in Miami history. His body control is top level.

I played for the Palmetto Raiders back in 90', 105's under coach Tank. We lost all but 1 game that year, lol. I pretty much quit after that season with football and fell in love with basketball after that..
